It’s hard to decide where to begin because there are so many fantastic things about this place and its food. I’m amazed at how something as simple as patties can be elevated to such a flavorful and unique experience when prepared professionally. The crust is my favorite part—perfectly crispy—and the amount of meat inside is generous. I visited the kitchen, and I was blown away by how organized and spotless it was. Seeing such a clean and well-run kitchen gave me full confidence in the quality of the food, and they absolutely deliver on that promise.

Tjo! Where do I start? A busy location, but I found parking right at the entrance. I pre ordered the box of 4 patties with 2 tings and plantain chips and garlic sauce. The service was top notch. A very helpful lady whom I appreciated. The pattiiiiieeesssssssss!!😋😋😋😋. Yum! The curry goat was the one I didn’t think I would enjoy that much but it was a hit. Better than the brisket one which was just as good too. I regretted not getting frozen ones. I will be back for those next time. I was worried about the size of these but they are a good size, full of filling and flavor and well worth the premium price tag. Believe the hype. The 1.5hour drive was worth it.

I heard so many good things about JunePlum by Patois patties that I needed to visit and try it out. The retail location is right next to Patois, their mother restaurant, that serves Caribbean dishes with Asian influences. It’s one of the must places to go especially if you are into Caribbean food. That’s why I was excited when I heard that they were venturing out into patties. As soon as you walk into the retail space at JunePlum, you feel like you have been whisked away to a Caribbean destination. Upon gazing their patties, the first thing you’ll notice is that they have a unique shape and a fold. This allows you to see the filling inside. The filling to crust ratio is perfect. The crust might seem to be thick visually but they are so soft and flaky. I was pleasantly surprised. They have two original flavours for their patties: Smoked Brisket with Oxtail Gravy and the Curry G.O.A.T. They recently added two more flavours: Coconut Crab Rundown and Vegan Cashew Callaloo Rundown. We ordered the Smoked Brisket, Curry GOAT and Coconut Crab Rundown. All their patties had quality ingredients and were delicious but I have to go with the Smoked Brisket if I have to choose one. Don’t confuse them with regular patties that you can get in other places, they are not. The food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. So you are probably wondering why am I rating it just a 4/5? The price is the only reason. I understand that they are high quality ingredients and there’s a lot of it but people experience and expectations are geared to a certain price point. You can’t ignore that and is not the fault of JunePlum. Once you are able to get past that, the patties are a must! Don’t sleep on it!

Finally tried JunePlum’s oxtail patty today and it was hands down the best patty I’ve ever had. The pastry was so flaky, and the oxtail was so juicy and flavourful! Unfortunately I didn’t get to try the curry goat patty (I was in a rush and they said it would take 15mins) but would definitely go back to try it (and get more of the oxtail). Highly recommend! It is a bit pricey for a patty ($9.75) but so worth it and you can definitely tell why it costs that much after trying it.

Whatever you’re doing next weekend, cancel your plans and go to June Plum to get some patties. And make sure you’re hungry. These patties are NO JOKE. They are hefty, they are stuffed with deliciousness and they are wrapped in pastry that is perfection. You haven’t had a patty until you’ve tried these. If that wasn’t enough, the store has the cutest things that you absolutely do not need but will want anyways. And the fridge has take home items from Patois to make your own magic at home. The only downside is that it’s only open on weekends. But that’s probably a blessing, otherwise I would be gaining a lot of patty weight. HIGHLY highly recommend a visit.

Cute little shop by the same owners as Patois next door. We ordered the oxtail gravy and goat curry patties, both of which were excellent - generously filled with flavourful saucy meat, and a beautifully flaky pastry shell. Not cheap at nearly $10 per patty, but worth every penny. Great selection of fancy sodas as well, make sure you check before you leave as some are not a twist-top (as I found out the hard way when I got to the park several blocks away).

Visited June Plum after having brunch next door at Patois. The Smoked Brisket Oxtail Gravy & Curry Goat Patties are so tasty and flavourful! They're a must-try! Also picked up the crab paste and some ice cream. Can't wait to try these!
