J’s Steakhouse exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was beautiful, as you can see from the photos. The meal started with a fresh, vibrant salad that was perfectly balanced with crunchy walnuts and fresh greens. For the main course, the steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The fries were crispy and complemented the meal wonderfully. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the experience—modern yet cozy, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Whether you’re a steak lover or just looking for a great dining experience, J’s Steakhouse is definitely a spot I would highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing place to come for a date night out. Our waitress was so attentive and nice. The food was great, and the overall vibes of the place were amazing. Would definitely come back and have already told my friends about it.

Absolutely amazing steak and frites. The flavors were wonderful and the servers were lovely. They even did a gift draw for the holidays and entered every table that was currently dining in the competition! Great experience!

Overall great food and steak cooked to perfection. The peppercorn sauce was delicious. I think for $60 and such a tight menu, I would’ve preferred fresh cut fries over frozen but they were still good (and unlimited), so I understand the trade off. Also, the Shirley Temple was good but it needs more Shirley Temple flavour and less orange juice. But that’s just my opinion. Edit: I had asked staff and they indicated frites were from frozen - so I wasn’t just presuming. But if they’re fresh cut I’ll take your word for it.

I visited last night when it opened, and I was greeted by a calm and pleasant atmosphere with just a few other guests at the restaurant. The service was warm and welcoming. I tried the red lipstick cocktail, which was incredibly delicious, I would definitely return just for this! Plus it was 50% off (Sunday Funday). Unfortunately, the starters were disappointing. The bread wasn’t warmed and the butter was hard. The salad was nothing special, wilted with some oil. It was bland and lacked flavour. But the candied nuts were a delightful touch. This could have been significantly improved with just a bit of salt and squeeze of lemon, as it was a “lemon vinaigrette.” The fries were inconsistent (fry to order); the first batch was soft and did not taste fresh, while the second was crispy and perfectly seasoned, our third and last was stale and very salty. On a positive note, the medium-rare steak was beautifully cooked—tender and delicious, especially with the creamy sauce. By the end, I was left wishing for something to balance all the richness of the meal. Lastly, I find the concept of a prefixed meal to be quite clever. However, if you choose this approach, it’s essential to perfect the three items on the menu.

The steaks were cooked perfectly and I’m a big fan of shoestring fries. So it’s nice to have unlimited fries. The service was very warm and welcoming. They even comped our drinks because they were running behind. They didn’t have to do this but it was a very nice gesture. The inky improvement I would say is that the desert we had was a tap overly sweet but I feel this is more preference. It was still good but not really my thing. I’d definitely go back again.

This is my second time at this place and it’s amazing. The menu is simple but always tasty, fries and steak very juicy. It comes with a portion of a sweet but smooth sauce. Services is good, very kind servers and music it’s cozy and relaxing make in it feel like home. The opera cake is fantastic too

It was a wonderful dining experience…reminiscent of Paris! The excellent food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit and return place for steak and frites! The restaurant is a Toronto gem!
