Joummar Restaurant

This restaurant is very big, it’s decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree. It’s my first time here very warm welcoming staff. Plenty of options to eat from the menu. The lamb shank was great with rice. My beverage was smoked aryan. Then we enjoyed our tea with kunnafah. We decided to get one dessert for the four of us to share. I recommend coming here to eat at this restaurant. My only recommendation is having an up keep in the bathrooms so it matches the ambiance to the restaurant. Having someone check in regularly in both bathrooms. Plenty of parking space as well.

A really excellent dining experience. My party and I have been really wanting to try Mezgouf for a long time, and opted to give Joummar a shot. I knew we were in for a treat when I could already smell the wood fire from the parking lot. When we arrived, we took a moment to see the fish traditionally roasting by the open fire, which really added to the ambiance and experience. The food itself was truly an experience. We tried our best not to fill up on the hot and cold appetizers and their outstanding bread, but that itself was nearly impossible. Now to the main event: the fish. The flavour was outstanding; smoky and tender, with a beautiful crust on the outside. I have never had anything like it, to be honest. With the staff and manager both treating us very well, there is no reason for me not to highly recommend Joummar. I cannot wait for my next visit!

I recently dined at Joummar, and while the overall experience was enjoyable, there were a few drawbacks worth mentioning. Food (5/5): The food was absolutely delicious, offering a fantastic representation of Iraqi cuisine. Each dish was flavorful, well-cooked, and presented beautifully. The rich spices and authentic tastes made the meal memorable. Atmosphere (5/5): The atmosphere was another highlight of the evening. The restaurant’s décor and ambiance provided a warm and welcoming setting, perfect for a relaxing meal. It was clear that a lot of thought went into creating a pleasant dining environment. Service (3/5): The service, unfortunately, left something to be desired. While the staff was friendly, they were not very attentive. We frequently had to call for assistance when we needed something, which took away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. A bit more attention from the servers would have made the meal more seamless.

Overall, Joummar Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. I can’t wait to return and try more of their amazing dishes. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

We ordered the following; Muskoof fish Dolma Tashreeb Fatoosh Every plate was perfect except Dolma, it is not as quality as other plates. Environment was perfect. The service was fine except the delay that should not be and also the behavior we faced from the cashier. He charged us an invoice of other customer! Once we let him know, he changed without any apology! I hope the management reaches so I can tell about this guy.

Beautiful restaurant and amazing authentic food! Went to the restaurant with my family and ordered the Joummar combo - enough to feed 6 people and finished off with tea! Will come again for sure 😊 Quick and friendly service. Beautiful ambiance.

Great place for some authentic Iraqi cuisine 🇮🇶 A MUST TRY is the Dolma 🤤 it is FANTASTIC and extremely flavourful. For the price, $28.00, it is enough for 2 people or for a whole table to eat as a warm app. The cool appetizers are delicious as well, just be careful you don’t eat too much of their freshly baked bread 🫓 and save some room for the main meals. The LAMB KEBABs were incredible. They really tasted like home (or so I’m told) Service is a little slow but adequate and does the job. Frankly, I enjoy not being pestered every 3 mins. It is a bit on the pricy side - I would def reserve this for special occasions and not just a casual night out. Avg cost per person ~ $40
