John Anderson's Hamburgers

Loved it! The second we walked in, we were greeted and welcomed. The person taking our order was patient with us, so that's a big plus (hahah). The first time I tried JA's Hamburgers was probably 2 years ago, and they weren't as tasty as they are now! We got the Home Banquet Burger combo. The combo comes with fries and a soft drink. The patties were thick - we had to take a good look at them because we honestly thought there were two patties! They put a good amount of toppings on the burgers as well, and you could definitely see and taste the bacon! The fries are also very yummy when they're hot. They are still good when they've cooled down, but not AS good. It took maybe about 10 - 15 mins to get our food, which isn't bad - especially since there are nice benches to sit on, but if it means the burgers are gonna be good (which they were) then that's not that long of a wait 😊 One more thing, the place didn't wreak of oil, and looked very clean - definitely a bonus! Thank you for the good experience! We will definitely be back!

I always pass the store. It closes early then I seen a video on TikTok about the store. I finally came here earlier before it closes. The food is amazing. I tried the Philly cheesesteak and chicken souvlaki on a bun and also peanut butter milkshake legendary don’t sleep on the store diamonds in the rough.

I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place until today. I had the double smash, and my wife had smash cheese burger, with fries…and it was sooo damn good! Completely caught me off guard how tasty it was! This might be my new favourite burger joint, sorry Johnny’s and Mama's Boys Burgers…this place takes the cake!

Crispiest, best onion rings I've ever had. You could cut glass with them. The burgers are a traditional, nostalgia-inducing style that speak for themselves and have no need for fancy toppings or sauces. Had the village burger and it was delicious.

One of the best cheese burgers I've ever had. Buns were soft, meat tasted great, nice an juicy. Toppings were fresh and well placed. The burger was BIG, and every bite was good, watch out for the juices dripping out. The fries were crispy, hot, and salty, just the way I like em. I just wished there were some picnic tables outside that one could eat on. Keep up the quality and pricing! Totally going to be my go-to for burgers/fries/onions rings etc.

Cashier and chefs very nice and attentive. Clean shop. Burger…unbelievably good. Home village burger, excellent. Listen to the chef when he recommends you to have the lemongrass sauce. Perfectly cooked burger.

We ordered the home bacon cheeseburger and a hotdog - both were delicious. Especially the burger - it was fresh, flavorful, juicy, perfectly done. The fries that came with them were also really well done - the perfect combo of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and properly seasoned. The coup de grâce though was the peanut butter and nutella milkshake - it was amazing! We definitely will be coming back!

Great burger place! This shop has been around for many years now, and has another location up in Markham. They are take out only with no seating, but serve some of the best burgers I’ve had in the GTA! We tried the home burger and the home village burger. The home patty is definitely top notch and we love how it’s made in house with their own ingredients! Both burgers were very delicious and filling. I like how you can customize your toppings, and how there is a greek touch to them - feta, tzatziki, etc. My only recommendation to the restaurant would be to have a different bun (maybe a potato bun?) but I know this would be an additional cost, and there is nothing wrong with how the buns are now. 🙂 The service here was also great, we had a girl serve us and she was very kind and offered suggestions. If you are in the area I would highly recommend checking them out for a delicious tasting burger 👍
