JJ's Roti Delight

We ordered boneless curry goat, stew chicken, jerk chicken, channa aloo, rice n peas, curry shrimp, dalpuri roti, doubles, and an assortment of sweets including delicious black cake. It was all terrific. My wife is extremely picky and knowledgeable about food, and she loved everything. JJ's knows how to cook. Thank you!!

Hidden gem. One of the best place to get Doubles. Their aloo pie is the best I've had in Toronto. Must try. Feels like a family owned restaurant and owners are really nice and welcoming. I stopped going to Drupati's as the quality has declined recently and customer service is bad as usual. This is my new go to place for Carribean food in Toronto

Was in the area, did a quick browse and followed with the reviews on this spot. The reviews are accurate. Definitely an amazing spot, the owner is very nice, food is fresh and tastes great. Tried the aloo pie with hot sauce and tamarind sauce. Unbeatable taste. A must try.

I wish I lived closer because this was so tasty, the saheena's are out of this world and the spice is just right. I normally don't like rotti because after a while it feels like raw dough but this one held its shape and the potato filling had such an amazing flavour and kick to it. If you ever needed a snack by the water, stop by here and you won't regret it

I ordered today's special chicken roti $9.99 & got 1 double (basically roti with chickpea inside) with mild hot sauce (was very spicy but delicious). I wud recommend getting 2 doubles ($2.99 each). I'll be returning to see if their goat curry is better than my mums. Highly recommend it, as the chef to make it the way he recommends, won't be disappointed, hot & fresh made in 10 mins.

Got two orders of Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas ($13.99 each). You have the option of getting stew sauce or curry sauce drizzled over, so I got one each. Also got a double ($2.99) which came with a hot sauce on the side. Took 15 mins to prepare and service was punctual, and also nice and friendly! The chicken and rice was very good. The jerk chicken was smoky and well seasoned the rice and peas was good even just by itself, especially with the sauce (both stew and curry were equally good). The meat to rice ratio felt a bit low for the price but still acceptable. What really could have elevated the dish is including a salad or coleslaw. The double was probably the best I’ve ever had! Had the right amount of filling, the right sweetness to it, the perfect Caribbean-style hot sauce to pair with it and was also very fairly priced to boot. Definitely get this if you plan on visiting!

Really enjoyed and so said the rest of the family. I am no Roti expert, great to have a new flavor in the neighborhood. Place is really clean, food/bread (dhalpuri/paratha) is made to order (a good thing) expect a 5 minute wait time. Staff really friendly and helpful with ordering for this non-expert. Expect around $10-$15 single order or $10 per person in larger buffet style orders. Good value. No in house seating, eat and run or take home.
