We were brought in by the ‘just open’ signs and display that mentioned you get a free cookie or chips with first purchase. We advised the cashier that it was our first time trying the place. After ordering two subs, we had to specifically ask what was on it. We were not advised about choosing our own toppings. The only comment made to us was ‘the regular is small’. After paying, we asked about the free cookie, only to be told ‘you need to scan the app’. It was a very disappointing experience as we advised that this was our first time. If we were told first about the app, we would have downloaded it before our purchase. Maybe we’ll try another location as sub quality was really great.

Was excited to try this place. I got a chicken bacon Ranch. The bun was great the sandwich had good flavour but unfortunately there was very little chicken on my sandwich. Honestly it was incredibly tiny, we had to go grab something else after. For the price tag of around 20 dollars I wouldn’t recommend. Pictures show you how ridiculously small this thing was.

Went about a week after opening. Looks like they got some things sorted out from the previous posts. They were very welcoming and kind. Service was relatively quick. I got the Italian Night Club. I found the meat to be better quality than subway and tasted good. However, it is pretty expensive at $22. Overall a good experience and would go back.

I rarely give bad reviews and only do so when warranted. I give grace where grace is due. Being from the US and eating at Jimmy Johns a couple to several times a week, to say i love JJ, is an understatement. I had been looking forward to them opening here, craving my favorite Beach Club like crazy. We waited to go, giving it a couple of weeks to work out any newly open kinks and wanting to give an honest review. I was hoping to give a perfect review. With that being said....The first Jimmy John’s location in Ontario, situated in the Toronto GTA, was a major letdown compared to the high standards of its U.S. counterparts. As a fan of the chain, I was excited, but the experience was far from satisfactory. Despite not being busy with only a few customers and approximately six employees present, it took about 10 minutes to prepare two small sandwiches—both of which were incorrect. A third sandwich, ordered to-go, was also wrong. Shockingly, all three sandwiches were thrown in the trash, a wasteful practice that’s hard to overlook in a world where so many people face food insecurity. The lack of attention didn’t stop there; the tables were dirty despite ample staff, most of whom appeared to be standing around chatting. Their overall efficiency was dismal, with sandwich wrapping resembling an untrained attempt at gift-wrapping. To top it off, the sandwich sizes and pricing were disappointing. The “regular” size in Ontario is equivalent to the U.S. mini size, and the prices are noticeably higher. This location failed to meet the quality, efficiency, and professionalism that Jimmy John’s is known for. Hopefully, they will address these issues because the potential for better service and food is there, but significant improvements are needed.

Iconic sandwich shop from the states. The sandwich builds are so simple, yet so good. I had a toasted 6" meatball sandwich combo there. The meatballs are cut up, so they don't pop out and drip everywhere like a traditional one. Just the right amount of sauce. What makes it really taste good is the combination of provolone cheese, sprinkled Italian herbs and fresh basil. The chips are very tasty and crunchy as well.

I’ve been to this location now twice in the first week of opening. Jimmy John’s subs are absolutely delicious and are the best subs that I’ve had in the greater Toronto area. I’ve had the Country Club and the Italian Night Club. Simply amazing. Service on the other hand is below standard for the Jimmy John’s chain. While in Nashville, I received my order within 2 minutes of placing the order. At the Toronto location I waited 12 minutes on a not so busy afternoon and 25 minutes on a busier supper hour. Let’s hope they work through their initial opening hiccups. I also find the building is very narrow and poorly designed. With long lines and long wait times, I feel like my back is up against the delivery pick up rack. It just wasn’t well thought out. So, great sub, great location, substandard service and poor design

I ordered The Pepe and I was very disappointed in the amount of toppings/"freebies" that I received. I had high expectations and if I wouldn't pay for that sub. Their menu displayed that you would get a lot but the overall product was so small and not very filling and the prices are quite high. The food wasn't very impressive to me. The service was quite slow and I had to wait for 30 minutes for my order. The atmosphere gave me mixed emotions and could improve.

I’m going to put aside the fact that they’re brand new and it’s their first location. But if you’re going to bring a US sub franchise to Canada, at least keep the same sizes and portions as the US version. All we got it seems is tiny portions and high prices. If you’re willing to wait 30+ minutes for a sub that’s slightly better than subway this is your place. Better off going to Firehouse, or go to the better new US sub brand, Jersey Mikes. Also, what’s with the no cutting of the subs??
