Definitely one of the most affordable places to grab a quick bite. The service was great. But the restaurant is not the cleanest and the food is not the most fresh. If you're a student with a low budget then this place might be for you.

Affordable eats in an unbeatable location!! We came Sunday evening and the ambiance was very warm and cozy, we loved the candles on the table and the background music. The food prices are unbelievably low in 2024. Our Sandwiches were $8 or less, Pad Thai was $13. Pictured are the Avocado Brie Sandwich, Marinated Pork Sandwich, and the Chicken Pad Thai. Everything tasted great and the service was awesome. We definitely will be back to try their other items. Heads-up: they are cash only.

Great piece of old Queen St / Toronto. Been coming here with friends for more than 20 years now. They offer all day breakfast which is great, I had the stuffed french toast, it was sublime 🤌 and the rest of my party enjoyed theirs as well! They also accommodated us when it got too cool on the patio.

Very reasonable price and tasty! Try to Irish coffee with vodka

The food is decent for its low prices, all items in photos are under $10. The sandwich was a bit odd and had 🥦. However, the kitchen's cleanliness and the state of the bathrooms leave much to be desired. Definitely a lack of care from management. Btw you walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. Service is generally good and drinks are cheap but the rundown conditions are really hard to overlook. This cafe may appeal to those seeking affordability, but they need to clean up their act.

Not a fancy location but offers good, affordable food options - good portion. It is one of the rare place in downtown Toronto where you can get a pint of beer + 2 dishes under $30. The place could use some upgrade, especially the washroom.

This place is Toronto classic and I have enjoyed it since 2009. While it is definitely not a fancy place, it is a familiar and homey place - at least for me. Their patio is always packed in the summertime!! I've enjoyed their cheap eats and drinks over the years and no matter how long it has been..the food and vibe has not changed. I usually go for their pitcher of sangria and nachos - it's like drinking juice and their homemade chips are crisp and tasty! They have increased their menu items over the years..but their pad thai and curry chicken are some of my favourite choices. Large servings, very tasty and cheap prices. A turnoff for some may be that they only take cash and their washrooms could use an update..but for myself, I'm there for the good vibes, cheap eats and drinks!

Just finished eating here. What a fantastic spot. The prices are AMAZING, with entrées all at $10, most expensive foods on the menu. Everything else is less than that. And the portions are huge. We got the caesar salad with shrimp ($5+3), avocado salad ($5), chicken fajitas ($7), java chicken wrap ($6) , cream of mushroom ($5) and the home fries ($5). The service was quick. Patio is open and has plenty space. The servers were very sweet. The food was delicious, warm and fresh, albeit slightly underseasoned (we asked for salt and pepper).
