As an Indonesian, the ayam penyet and ayam bakar hits home, especially when it is so hard to find Indonesian restaurants in Toronto or Canada in general. So happy to finally get to try and everything taste like HOME, not to forget the sambal. 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 I am excited to host a dinner next week for some close friends to get them to try the dishes. Cannot wait!!! Thank you for the delicious chicken rice dinners 🧡🧡 👍🏻mantap👍🏻

I ordered Soto Ayam and Pecel Chicken some time back and it’s delicious!!! Especially the Soto Ayam. It’s very authentic to what I was used to eat growing up. And he is so generous with the chicken too. It’s like a bottomless bowl full of chicken at the bottom. The Ayam Pecel was equally good, just not spicy enough for a Singaporean. I had ordered extra spicy. He told me to order super spicy for next time. 😃. Highly recommended. I plan to try his other dishes for sure.

That beef rendang is a hug for your hungry soul! I’ve never been disappointed by a Java Bali experience whether it’s home delivery or eating in at a pop up, can’t wait to see what you cook up next!

Shoutout to my my fav Indonesian restaurant at GTA. Even downloaded Cookin just to try more of their food. Hopefully, they will do another pop-up soon. Honest rating from an Indonesian: Nasi goreng 3/5. A bit too dry for me. Bubur ayam 5/5. Ayam bakar. 5/5. Corn fritters 5/5. Bakmi and Kwetiaw goreng (only available at cookin’) 5/5. I loved it. Can adjust the spice level.

I've always loved Indonesian food but we have limited selection in Toronto. When we found out that Java Bali Kitchen was having a pop-up in the city, we visited right away. We were so happy with the delicious food, we went 3 weeks in a row and tried everything on the menu. Thank you Zulfikar for the wonderful food and super warm and friendly service. Keep up the good work!

It's great to see different cuisines emerging in the city. Java Bali Kitchen popped up at this location for a few weeks, and we decided to stop by and try it. - Nasi Goreng: Loved the sweet heat on this dish. Good amount of shrimp, tasty fried rice, though the crackers were a bit limp. - Beef Rendang: Tender strips of beef which were flavourly spiced. - Satay Maranggi: My favourite dish, with its sticky sweet beef chunks. - Corn Fritters: Nicely chewy, not overly oily on the fry. - Jasmine Tea and Black Sumatran Coffee: Tea was refreshing, coffee was a bit muted. Overall, enjoyed this Indonesian spot. Not sure where Java Bali will pop-up next, but will be sure to stop by.
