Janatha Bar and Restaurant

We did our gender reveal event with around 40 guests in Janatha, Every dish we ordered was with flavour and cooked to perfection. Chicken curry is my favourite of all, it’s just like what we can find back home. Every guest of us complimented the food served and no complaints were received. Much recommended place!!

Recently, we visited JANATHA BAR & Grill, a Telugu-style Indian restaurant, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The environment inside was uncomfortable, as they mixed the dining area with drinkers, and the loud DJ music gave us headaches. On top of that, the food was overly salty, and our entire family experienced diarrhea afterward. We raised our concerns about the food with the server, but nothing was done to address the issue. Considering the high prices, we feel we could have chosen a more authentic Indian restaurant. I wouldn’t return to this place and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Ambience was spectacular. Dj was on point with the tunes he played, ranging from hip hop to EDM and mashing that up with Hindi, Telugu and Tamil songs. My group and I had a great time. Food (boti fry, chicken dum biryani, drunken chicken liver and mutton curry) were amazing. Tandoori chicken was a bit too try. Drinks being offered is a huge plus given the atmosphere. Service was good with staff being friendly and detail oriented when my group wanted to know more about the dishes and recommendations. Highly recommend checking this place out on a Friday or Saturday night! I can imagine what it’s like with a live band here.

The food at this spot is great, with a fantastic ambiance to match. The drunken chicken liver is a standout dish that you simply must try(it is spicy). For first-time visitors, the chef offers insightful recommendations on what to sample, including details about spice levels and flavor profiles. Their cocktails are well-crafted, and the panipuri with its surprise filling is a delightful treat. This place is perfect for a relaxed evening out. I recently had an amazing dining experience at Janatha Scarborough! From the crispy corn to the spicy Paneer Fire Balls and Khema Fire Balls, each dish was a burst of flavor. The Nizami Chicken and Nizami Paneer were real treats, and the exotic Quail Fry (Kamsapitta) was something special. I loved the rich Boti, Chicken Liver, and the Drunken Chicken Liver. The Fish Fry was perfect for seafood lovers, and the Paya was pure comfort. The mocktails and cocktails were the perfect complements to my meal. They have live music as well on Friday & Saturday. The Only Restaurant In Canada That Serves Exotic Indian Dishes.

Place is about ambience and good time! Live music is absolutely superb! They have some exotic dishes right from Hyderabad which cannot be found else where! Entire space beautiful and perfect for evening with friends or date night spot

We came here seeing the instagram post.. The ambiance is very cozy, friendly staff & Excellent service- Maya was very helpful in suggesting us what to get.. We ordered Pepper Chicken & Chicken Tandoori for starters; and for Mains we ordered Mutton Dum Biryani.. the biryani was flavourful , it reminded me of authentic Hyderabadi Biryani! Even the mirchi ka salan tasted so good.. we ended our dinner with Apricot delight which was very different we loved it! Finished it in one go..😄 I would definitely recommend this place! Cheers✨
