Ital Vital Rastarant

Not much Caribbean vegan restaurants in Toronto but Ital Vital restaurant is my best one in town 👍 There are tasty and flavourful two protein’s highlighted below. 1) vegan jerk pork - the one that I tried. It rich and delicious 2) vegan bbq rib - will try it next time :)

This was a big treat for us after having a bad time at an appointment. The server was super friendly and we were well taken care of. The curries were quite nice and flavourful. I found the small to be filling for me and my father the large. We got a bit of everything since it was our first time. I loved the desserts especially the cake! Oh man was it ever good! This is a small vegan restaurant in the neighborhood just south of golden Mile at pharmacy. They post daily specials on instagram so follow for daily deals. When you order, you can order a protein box which comes with two items of choice for small or three for large plus a grain + the vegan BBQ ribs. So for example, I got the large box with caliloo greens, curry chickpeas, and a vegan fish. I love getting the roti wrapper as I can make it into a giant burrito of tasty delight. They also have daily fresh juices. I've tried a bunch and honestly have been impressed everytime. It is worth the $5 for the juice. They also offer vegan desserts in house. The owner is super sweet. They no longer have indoor seating, but they set up a cute seating area outside the establishment. Just a note, please do not wear any items containing real fur into the establishment as a courtesy.

Great hidden spot in Scarborough to grab vegan food. Not just any vegan food but Caribbean inspired! Their daily menu includes four options of base such as Quinoa, Brown Rice, Rasta-Pasta and Split Peas Roti, your choice of stews, there’s variety and varied each day, and a protein. My go to is their “spare ribs” which is plant based. I go here often when I used to work in Scarborough. Definitely miss this place and looking forward to visiting again!

Ok time to gush about another small business!! Guys if you haven’t heard of them yet, start the car and head over to Ital Vital Ital Vital Rastarant!! 45min approx from Oshawa, it’s a family owned and run business serving up the most delicious food!! Completely plant based, (not that you have to be to enjoy what they are cooking up!) the food is cooked fresh and absolutely cravable!! They have a tiny store front so here is a pic to save so you don’t miss them! They only have dining outside but trust this is a place you want a few containers for your lunch dinner and snack 😉 This is the large, for $17.99, and it’s easily two meals!! Highly highly recommend!!

I’m not sure why, but I didn’t love this place like everyone else seems to! I thought the portion size was great, but the dishes available on the day I went didn’t feel as fresh or quite as flavourful as I was expecting. I may have to give Ital Vital another chance and see if my opinion changes because I really wanted to love this place. However, the hot sauce was great and really helped, I recommend getting it if you can handle heat. Also, the small plate is more than enough food for most people, and comes at a great price.

After many years this place is still sooo underrated. Hands down some of the best vegan food you will ever try. It’s all so hearty but healthy it doesn’t even taste like there’s no meat. Seasoned so well. I’ve never had a bad item from here literally everything is really good, the drinks and desserts as well. They are also very community oriented and the service is great. Such a gem.

This place was amazing!!!! Completely delicious. We got the large combo and the chicken burger and neither disappointed. The vegan ribs? Delicious. The plaintains? Yum. The three stews? Healthy and mouth watering. What a find! Going to need to figure out how to spice fries the way they do here.
