I have only done delivery orders so far but will definitely be dining in soon! The food is SO good! Fresh fish, good rice, interesting rolls, quick service! This is my new go to sushi restaurant!

An excellent dinner at Issmi - it was a quiet Sunday evening visit, so very fast and efficient service! The restaurant is very clean and beautifully adorned inside, with a spacious and tasteful patio outside. I had a sushi and sashimi plate, which was served with miso and salad - excellent presentation, served quickly, and very well prepared. Everything was fresh, appropriately cool (or hot), and tasted amazing. There were lots of takeout orders served while I dined in, so it seems appreciated by the community!

Have never had this fresh sashimi in Toronto before - simply delicious! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Black sesame ice cream for desert was so tasty. Will definitely go back!

The meal’s highlight was the rice paper roll ($20), a great option for those watching their carb intake as salad greens fill in for sushi rice. Stuffed with crab salad, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura it’s a surprisingly hearty and creates enough flavours that it didn’t taste too healthy. Pair the maki with an avocado salad ($9) and miso soup ($3) and you’ve got yourself a complete meal. I’m glad Issmi doesn’t skimp on the avocado, there’s plenty of it fanned across the simple green salad tossed with Issmi’s sesame and soy house dressing. And while the miso soup wasn’t overly exciting, it’s also not an expensive add on, arriving nice and hot. There are also several sushi dishes that don’t break the bank. The Matsu sushi ($25) contains a well stuffed dynamite roll that rival most in the neighbourhood and 10 pieces of nigiri. The nigiri was where Issmi falters a bit: the rice not seasoned enough and some of the fish felt a touch dry. Still, these are just slight nuances that could easily be overlooked.

Great place to have some Sushi. Good variety with decent hot food options. service is outstanding. Must try Mix tempura and Yaki Udon. One of the best Sushi in town.

Wish I came here earlier! Absolutely amazing food. We got the tuna tataki, salmon pressed sushi, spider roll, and volcano salmon roll. Everything was made to perfection and the flavours were outstanding. Good service and clean restaurant. Definitely check it out for some authentic Japanese food.

My group tried a lunch here. It is a good value-proposition, and the sashimi for 2 was ok. I would take my guest to somewhere else, but with friends I would go here to eat and chat without emptying my wallet.
