I was just there for an early New Year’s Eve dinner and was so blown away by the service and food that I was compelled to write this on the car ride home (passenger - not driver lol). Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and kind despite waiting on the entire restaurant on his own. The oysters were unbelievably fresh, the smoked tuna dip was just wow, the salmon tartare was to die for, the cod cakes just melt in your mouth, and I will be dreaming of the prawn rolls tonight. And oh - how could I forget! The nori butter add on for the sourdough - DIVINE! Okay - I’m done. Please go - this is what dining in Toronto should be like!

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying Island Oysters at an event last week. Jason, the owner, spoiled me with the best oysters he brought (although not a single one was anything less than amazing). They were DELECTABLE. As a Nutritionist I can value the health benefits and nutrient density of this absolute superfood. Not only this though, the Oysters were fresh and succulent, with a wonderful flavour and texture. Jason provided me with exceptional service, and I am far from surprised to see so many 5 star reviews under his restaurant's page. I could tell in meeting him he is passionate and provides only the best to his customers. I didn't expect to be writing a review for this company, but thats how great my experience was. Thank for for a delicious, wonderful, entertaining experience- I wish you great success in your business, and to anyone reading this- I HIGHLY recommend checking out Island Oysters.

Amazing food, drink, and experience. The fried potatoes with a Lil extra was *chef's kiss*. Every dish was fun to eat and share. Oysters were perfect. The cocktails were also very good. Grab a fat tug if you haven't been to the west coast yet.

Island Oysters catered my bridal shower last Saturday, and they were absolutely phenomenal! From the moment they arrived, their professionalism, preparation, and organization were evident. They came fully equipped with all the necessary supplies and quietly set up without any disruption. The oysters were impeccable—clean, expertly shucked, and incredibly delicious. Every one of my guests was thoroughly impressed with the oyster station and couldn't stop raving about the taste and quality. The staff member who assisted us was exceptionally nice and easy to deal with, showcasing both professionalism and kindness throughout the event. I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Island Oysters. They truly made my bridal shower a memorable occasion. Highly recommend!

As someone who hasn’t had much seafood aside from shrimp now and then, I was a bit nervous to try oysters for the first time. However, after visiting Island Oysters and being served by Odin, I now look forward to eating them and trying different kinds any chance I get. Odin described the differences between east and west coast and recommended some solid pairings. Something he said was, “An oyster is one of those foods that tastes like a place.” And that really stuck with me, especially after trying a few different types. I recently visited for their Thursday Malpeque deal and enjoyed it greatly! They offer lemon, Tabasco, mignonette, horseradish, and habanero to apply and also offer an extensive drink menu for potential pairings. Liam and Joash were shucking away in front of me and did an amazing job. Quick, clean, delicious. The prawn roll deserves its own mention, the anchovy brioche bun combined with the freshness of the chives was insane. I could’ve honestly had 10 of these on the spot. After the malpeques and prawn roll, we enjoyed some Sunseeker, Chebooktook, and Island Emerald oysters. Overall, Island Oysters is a banger and if you find yourself on Bloor Street, do yourself a favour and visit this amazing establishment. Amazing service, amazing food, and amazing times await. 🔥🔥🔥🫡🫡🫡

This seafood spot offers a great variety of reasonably priced oysters, which come out quickly and are perfectly shucked, free of shells. Although the place is tight and quite close to other tables, they are doing the best to use the space. The small menu is full of seafood, decently priced, and packed with great flavors.

The food was outstanding and incredibly fresh. However, the service left much to be desired. It took 15 minutes just to receive water and the wine menu. The waitress had to check our order twice before she remembered it. When we were ready to pay, we waited another 15-20 minutes only to realize she had forgotten about us. We had to ask another staff member to bring us the bill. We love the food here, but the service needs significant improvement.
