We had a delightful dining experience! The Rava We had a delightful dining experience! The Rava Masala Dosa and Mysore Masala Dosa were delicious, although the Mysore dosa was a tad salty. The Ishq Dry Paneer Spicy dish was also a hit. The food, service, and management were all top-notch. Special mention to Naman, our server, who provided excellent service with a smile! Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place. Minor quibbles aside, it's a great spot for a tasty meal. 4.5/5 stars!

Whether you’re a vegetarian or simply looking for a great dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. And trust me, the Chana Bhatura alone is worth the trip. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with simple yet tasteful decor that adds to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, eager to recommend dishes or adjust spice levels to your preference. The Chana Bhatura is a masterpiece—fluffy, golden-brown bhatturas served piping hot with a side of perfectly spiced and rich chana. We also had some filter coffee which was pretty average. Do give it a try and you surely won’t be disappointed.

The food was tasty, we ordered the 5ft dosa, sizzling paneer dish and the jackfruit biryani which were perfectly spiced, flavoured and nicely textured. Was disappointed by the service though. We had to ask a few times to get cutlery and plates with them giving too little each time. That was the let down otherwise the food was great!

Visited Ishq for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant was completely full despite the large number of seats. Luckily, we found one high table and sat there. Ambience was okay. Quickly, we decided our dishes from the menu and first ordered Delhiwali Paneer Tikka and Masala Dosa. We requested to serve Delhiwali Paneer Tikka before the Masala Dosa being an appetizer. The server Niharika served us Masala Dosa first which shouldn’t have been the case. The Masala Dosa came with four chutneys - Coconut, Tomato, Ginger Garlic and not sure about the 4th one. I haven’t seen four chutneys being served with dosa anywhere else I have tried South Indian food. The chutneys were okay. The Dosa crepe and the potato filling tasted good but the dosa wasn’t crisp as it should have been. The Sambar wasn’t piping hot either. Next was the Delhiwali Paneer Tikka which had an ordinary presentation. The Paneer was hard unlike being very soft which is an essential aspect of this popular appetizer. The paneer marination was raw as if the paneer was roasted in high flame. The mustard oil used in the marination was over powering the paneer which was bit of a disappointment. One of the pieces of green pepper was fully burnt. The Delhiwali Paneer Tikka was below average in terms of taste. The second set of items in our order were the South Indian Thali and Chai Thali. Although the South Indian Thali had a variety of items, it was just average. It came with three types of rice - Biryani, Plain boiled rice and Peanut rice. The rasam was just water mixed with some powder and tasted horrible. The biryani was just a mix of vegetable masala with rice and so was just okay and not authentic at all. The only curry that stood out in the South Indian Thali was the Pumpkin and Lentil curry that tasted good. The yogurt which should have been an actual “Raita” was just plain without any salt or pepper and therefore wasn’t appealing in the Thali. The Poori and Vada were soft but just okay. The Jalebi which was the dessert in the Thali was flat instead of the regular shape. It was soggy and tasted like bad oil that was being reused in the kitchen. Lastly, the Chai Thali looked nice for a change. The tea wasn’t great. It wasn’t piping hot and had more milk in it. The maggi was good but the best item in the Thali was the Vada Pao which tasted pretty good. The bread pakora, veg pakora and sweet buns were just ordinary and not up to the standard. The collection of bollywood songs being played were quite old and didn’t add to the liveliness of the environment. In addition, we also found that the men and women washrooms located downstairs were not very clean. The restaurant should consider this seriously as well. None of the servers checked if we needed anything. However, they were nice and well behaved especially Naman who had some great customer service skills. Overall, our experience was well below expectations and not worth the hype as all the dishes we tried were kind of average and below.

Visited ISHQ restaurant and had a delightful experience! The server, Rushabh, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The Bharwan Mushroom and Tandoori Malai Broccoli were absolutely fantastic – packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Guntur Idli and Mixed Veg Uttapam were also standout dishes, showcasing authentic flavors. The kids especially enjoyed the noodles, which were a big hit! Overall, it was a great meal with excellent service. Highly recommend it!

I tried a South Indian thali at this restaurant, and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The taste wasn’t great—just okay. The presentation looked nice, but I couldn’t understand the point of the banana leaf they used. It was too small to cover the whole plate, so it felt pretty pointless. It seemed like they just added it for the sake of appearance without it actually being useful. That said, the service was pretty good. Our server, Rami, did a great job and made sure we had everything we needed. His efforts definitely made the experience a bit better. Overall, the food could use some improvement, but the friendly service made up for it a little.

Our experience at Ishq Restaurant in Scarborough was nothing short of disappointing. After waiting almost an hour for a table, we were met with some of the most subpar food and service we’ve ever encountered. The starters set the tone for the evening—burnt dahi ke kebab and achari paneer tikka that was so salty, it was barely edible. Moving on to the main course, things only got worse. The adraki gobhi was completely uncooked, and the paneer tikka masala was equally undercooked and lacked flavor. The only saving grace of the meal was the dal makhni, which was pretty decent. However, this was overshadowed by the disaster that was the jackfruit biryani. It was so poorly prepared that we couldn’t even finish it. To top it all off, the service was just as bad. The server and the manager, Sachin, were inconsiderate and showed no concern for the issues we raised. It felt like they didn’t care about the quality of food being served or the customer experience in general. I genuinely don’t understand how this restaurant is still in business. After such a long wait and a terrible meal, I wouldn’t recommend Ishq Restaurant to anyone. Save your time and money—this place isn’t worth it.
