The service was amazing. The food portions were generous and enough for two people to share. The food was flavourful. We ordered pad sew yea with tofu and it was amazing. Food was out in less than 20 mins. Would come again.

What a great place. It was so packed but they had room on the patio. Was not expecting the crazy good presentation of everything. The taste was phenomenal. You have to try it. And something I don't usually comment on: their bathrooms are aspirational! Even a bidet hose lol. Bring those here you want to impress.

This place is absolutely amazing. Best Thai food in the city. Definitely recommend the beef khao soi! The beef is so tender and practically melts in your mouth

Attentive staff and authentic Thai food are central to this establishment. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and very tasty. The crispy pork in the Tom Yum Pad Thai with crispy pork was a standout for me and my wife loved the mango sticky rice. The Thai iced tea is also something I would highly recommend. The service was excellent as well, including recommendations given by the waitstaff. This Isaan Der location is a must try if you are in the High Park/junction area.

A very cute little restaurant + bar in the junction. Very kind and courteous staff, and pad see ew was great! Came here with a friend an hour before closing. We ordered the chicken skewers ($15), pad see ew ($20) and the pad kee mao (drunken noodles, $20). They make their noodles in house, and the noodle dishes were very tasty. I think in terms of value and taste, it's decent. The thing that stood out the most was the service. The two waiters/waitresses were very kind to us, explaining the menu items and giving us free peanut sauce and chili which would have costed money otherwise! I'd highly recommend coming here if you're ever in the area and you're craving some Thai food.

Isaan Der is at the junction area on Dundas St W. The restaurant is pretty easy to find and is easily accessible via the ttc. I went on a Sunday around 3pm without a reservation, the restaurant was full of people but there were still some open seating. Ordering: there are 2 different menus (food menu, and drink menu) given to you when you sit down, as well as a picture of the monthly special. Cost: I paid $65 not including tax for my meal. I got the lamb shank curry ($28), starter platter ($24)*, and a Isaan Iced Tea ($13). I went with a friend and the starter platters full price was charged to both of us (instead of being split). So if you do go to Isaan Der please double check your bill and your friend's bill before paying. I had originally thought that the waitress had given me the starter to pay for instead of my friend (which was fine) but once conferring after leaving the restaurant we realized we both were charged for the full price of the starter. As we both did not get receipts and had already gotten on the TTC we decided not to go contend the cost back at the restaurant. Wait Time: Really slow, about 45mins - 1 hour to get food. There was one chef working that Sunday so the wait time was really long to get drinks and food. The starter platter was alright, the best tasting item on it in my opinion was the thai fishcakes. The fishcakes were juicy, served hot and had a great crunch to them with the breading fried just right. The calamari was tasty as well, it was breaded and served hot. The other starter items were just okay. I got the lamb shank curry and was pretty disappointed in it. I had requested it to be spicy. The spice was not really there it felt like it might've been medium or mild spice level. The lamb shank itself had a mild taste and was not fall off the bone. It was kind of tough in some places but soft in others. The curry had a mild taste as well. I didn't really think it complemented the lamb at all. The vegetables in the lamb shank were really tough to chew and not soft at all. It felt like the vegetables needed to be cooked longer. The jasmine rice was cooked really well, but I found it didn't really fit the meal texturally (hard vegetables, and soft and hard pieces of lamb shank, and soft rice). The drink was aesthetically pleasing and had a very refreshing taste. It did get watery really quickly so if you do get it be sure to drink it quickly. Overall: the seating area is alright, and the colours and atmosphere of the restaurant are great. The food was pretty hit or miss which is surprising given all the high reviews. Also please double check the bill with your friends if you are splitting starters.

Incredibly authentic Thai food- felt like I was back in Thailand with the fresh ingredients and perfectly complex flavour profiles. The basa fish was cooked perfectly and the portion was HUGE! We also had the spring rolls, grilled ribs, papaya salad, pad see ew (we ordered the fresh chili peppers on the side so we could control how spicy it was) and don’t forget to order the mango sticky rice which was delectable!! Can’t wait to come back.

The third and final stop of our mini tour of Thai restaurants brought us to Isaan Der in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood, where Chef Ko took care of us personally. She is one of my favourite chefs and her food is outstandingly delicious! I just love her! Isaan Der has also been awarded the Thai Select Classic designation by the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, certifying the food has been prepared with authentic ingredients in the traditional Thai style of cooking. In a nutshell, you gotta be damn good to accomplish this! We started with an appetizer platter that included Chef Ko's signature Golden Bags, Calamari, Mango Salad, Thong Pong Grob, Ma Hor, and Thai Shrimp Cakes. Each item was beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious! Great start! Our next dish was Soft Shelled Crab. I can't tell you how good this dish was. Words don't exist to describe how delicious it was! That was soon followed by Red Curry Duck, another absolutely delicious dish that included lychee and grapes. I love duck so this was an OMG dish! We had two seafood dishes, one with rice and the other with noodles. I had to be careful with these dishes due to a (mild) shellfish allergy. I did taste them and wished I could have eaten more. They were so good! A dish of Morning Glory, aka Water Spinach was the perfect complement to this meal. It's one of my favourite Asian vegetables and Chef Ko's version is excellent! For dessert, we had their house-made Coconut Ice Cream, with fruits, flower petals, and corn, all served in a coconut shell. It was a truly delicious finish to an outstanding meal and a great day of feasting on superb Thai cuisine! Our meal was accompanied by some great tasting cocktails that really hit the spot. Wonderful! ------------------------------ 2020 I love Thai food and this is definitely some of the best that I've had! Chef Ko's passion for food definitely translates to every dish she produces! She is not only a great chef, but a genuinely nice person. I've had the pleasure of eating her food and conversing with her a few times now.
