Best sushi in the city, everytime my partner and I come here the food is always fresh and tastes amazing… the sushi just melts in your mouth the texture is by far the best! We’re so sad we are moving! Every time we’ve come in the waitresses have been great and the chefs have always been super accommodating! Gonna miss this place!

I really wanted to like this place because the staff are genuinely friendly, but unfortunately, that’s about all it has going for it. The dine-in service was disappointing. My wife ordered a vegetarian dish expecting it to be charged as a vegetarian option, but she was billed the full price as if it had meat. When we brought it up, the staff kept apologizing but wouldn’t adjust the bill or fix the mistake, claiming there was “nothing they could do.” It was a ridiculous and frustrating experience. To make matters worse, the food just isn’t that great, especially considering the price. The flavors were bland, and it felt like we overpaid for what we got. Nothing special and in a touristic area hence tourist trap. With so many other places to choose from, I’d suggest trying one of the other restaurants in the neighborhood. The friendly staff alone just doesn’t make up for poor service and very underwhelming food. Pass! Try something else you'll be happy you did :)

Two items ordered during this visit. The first was the Iruka Udon (UD01), described as "Japanese thick noodle in a broth with vegetables". As shown in the attached photo, the dish contained limited variety and quantity of vegetables. The second item was the Salmon Lover Combo (DC01), which included a Salmon Lover roll, 3 pieces of salmon sushi, and 4 pieces of salmon sashimi. Unfortunately, my companion was unable to finish this combo due to the concerns regarding the fish quality and preparation. I can only assume that the positive reviews are primarily from tourists, given this restaurant's location in a highly popular tourist area.

The place is super small.. tables are right next to each other. Went there with my family because the one cross street closed. First come in, the waitress tells me there are 4 people lined up in front of me. Instead of putting me on the waiting list, it sounds more like "there are people line up already, don't come." After seated, no water, no greeting until we ask for it. Food comes slow. Sashimi is not so fresh. My husband asked for napkins, and the waitress gave him one and handed it directly to him only. Don't you see the need from other people on the table? When I try to pay for the bill, 3 waitresses are standing near the cashier machine, chatting, and totally ignore me. Then I have to stand up, stood there for a while until one sees me. They won't even notice if I run away without paying. Over heard the customer came in for takeout. They are cheap out of the utensils (customer need to ask for it) and charge $ 1 for a little box for spicy mayo.. Will never go back.

Great food, lots of options and great prices. We had the CL3 and CL5 combos (bento) and it was great. It comes with complimentary salad and misoshiro soup

I absolutely love the sushi here. The price point is amazing for downtown Toronto too. This is my go to spot when I need my sushi fix because no other sushi in the area is comparable.

Nice low key spot by the lake that offers both dine in and take out. In terms of freshness and taste the food was good but the preparation was lacking. The rolls were cut to random sizes and the sashimi and sushi pieces were thick and chunky which is obviously very important for sushi. Their prices are fair but not really cheap so expectations are higher.

This place hits the spot if you want sushi, but I would say that they do cut their fish pieces for sashimi and sushi to be smaller than average places. I ordered a tray and the pieces were tiny. Some pieces were thick, but still too tiny for an actual piece. The 2 pieces of salmon basically make up a normal piece of salmon, not to mention how short these pieces are. The pieces used to be bigger, is it inflation? If it is, please just up the price and bring the bigger pieces back. And would also love the lunch special to be offered on a weekend too, and can also up the price.
