Decided to use the "too good to go" app for dinner. Wasn't sure what to expect for under $9. Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised - my meal consisted of soup (contained homemade dumplings, noodles, potatoes and small pieces of beef) The main meal consisted of jerk chicken and bbq pork on top of rice and peas. For $8 portion size is well justified and enough food to feed two people. Highly recommend this place for a late dinner using the App - pick up is between 630 & 7pm

The food is amazing and easily the beat Jerk spot west of Toronto. The service is very friendly, it can be slow when busy but definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is not “date” worthy however it’s sufficient for a spot to stop for lunch. The food is the star here and thats the way it should be. Good prices and great portions.

Wish I remembered to take a picture but the food is TOP NOTCH! I had my usual Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas while my friend tried the Curry Goat Roti. Mine was tender, moist and packed with flavour. The rice was perfect and the spice was too. Had the kick but not overpowering where the flavors get lost in the heat. Apparently, the Goat was Perfect too! Highly recommended and definitely will call this one the Oakville jerk spot any time I'm in the area. Pictures and different meal reviews will follow!

Ordered 1 Chicken Roti, 2 Large Stew Chicken. These 2 Stew Chicken were not the same portions, and or batch. 1 looks old, (darker, less rice, less meat, was mostly bone, sauce, bone fragments and grissle). I have had this before from here. No carrot, no potatoes, which is usually served with Stew Chicken. Been here before, not rude, but not friendly, (for me). Will not return. Worth the drive to the city.

I used to go to Mr. Jerk when was in high school but found Irie as it’s probably the only Jamaican place in Oakville. I eat a lot of jerk chicken but this place is the best. Perfectly seasoned and falls right off the bone as it should. Spice level is perfect and the portions are huge (even for a small). I also tried the oxtail which was just as good. The patties with cocoa bread is on point. My favourite place in Oakville. More of a takeout and delivery place. Also if there is no parking in the front, there are plenty of spaces in the back of the plaza.

HIDDEN GEM ALERT!!! Make sure you get there early because it gets sold quickly from what I learned. Got the jerk chicken, curry chicken, and pattys. Everything was so flavorful, I was surprised. I was honestly not expecting it to be as good as it was. Jerk chicken tasted authentic and very spicy. I’ve had a few jerk chickens in my life and this was by far the best I’ve had in 15 years, even better than stuff I’ve had in other countries. This is now my go to spot. I ordered it on ubereats by the way, so i don’t know what the restaurant actually looks like.

Deceptive, in the very best way!! The place: ** (and that's being generous) Next to the highway, tucked away where no one can ever find it in a tiny plaza you'd never go out of your way to go. Pass by and your instinct would be to just keep driving. We got there and sat for a min figuring out if it's too late to find somewhere else. (so glad we didn't!). Best description would be "hole-in-the-wall". Not somewhere you'd go for the ambiance. It's more of a take out and delivery kind of place for sure. There's also only 2 spots for parking in front so if they are full, you're out of luck. The food: ***** ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! One of us is Jamaican, from Jamaica, so it was on him to rate the food, but there was really no need. We tried the oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken, all with rice+peas. The serving of meat was massive, not the typical all rice and a sprinkle of meat/sauce. Every meal was loaded with meat! The flavors were divine. Perfectly spiced, perfectly cooked, perfectly perfect! The oxtail and goat just melt in your mouth and the chicken was perfectly done. We all took half home with us. The only time we have ever tasted anything this good was when our friends grandmother makes it. We also tried the pattys, crusty and flaky on the outside, perfectly warm and delicious on the inside. The food is actually so good that this is now to our top Caribbean spot if we are anywhere even close. And they have Ting! Nothing like washing down all that amazing food with some delicious grapefruit Ting! The service: **** The meals are ready nearly instantaneous as they are already prepared. The pattys (and roti) do take a bit of time, we waited about 10-15min for those to come out, but well worth it, and they are large! 2 pattys are a meal by themselves. No complains. Why the 4 stars and not 5? One star is for the "service with a smile".
