This establishment is located about a half block from College Subway Station. I ordered the chicken biryani on two separate occasions. It comes with a fresh boiled egg and a leg thigh piece of chicken from which the meat easily slips off the bone. The biryani itself is freshly cooked with perfectly spiced rice (with a choice of mild or extra spice), but I wish the chicken was better marinated. The "On Special" price of $9.99, plus HST, is very reasonable for downtown Toronto. Although this place has very limited seating, the staff who cooked and served my meals were very welcoming and friendly - except for one bald gentleman. He is one of the reasons that I cannot give this place five stars. I had an unpleasant interaction with him this Saturday which left an unpleasant taste in my mouth - he desperately needs to work on his customer service skills! Another reason for me not giving this eatery five stars is the half raw, improperly marinated and cooked tandoori chicken (with fresh naan) that I ordered this Sunday. I was quite disappointed with this dish.

This place is too Narsty.Watch out guys.I was there today after i was impressed with my first visit. The food is good but the hygiene makes it no go zone.I cnt believe I witnessed the lady preparing the meal signaling the cashier guy who to taste the food.Without hesitation he went from cashier to the pan and handpicked the rice and tasted it.I was so surprised and pissed same time.My girlfriend told me not to start anything crazy and let it slide since it wasn’t my meal. This narsty guy proceeded to clean his hands on his cloth and proceeded with his normal routine touching every surface of the kitchen and payment machine.I am too stupid for allowing them to process my order instead of rising my concern and leave.Am too annoyed and feeling disgusting when I saw this little cockroach in my meal. Only God knows how many roaches have been in this biriani.Stay away from this place if your Hygiene person.I wish I rised my Concern when I saw what happened so that they know I saw they narsty business.STAY AWAY FROM THIS NARSTY PEOPLE.THEY HAVE NO TRAINING IN FOOD HANDLING.Save yourself from food poisoning.Legit

I ordered the Chicken Biryani for $9.99. The food was made fresh right in front of me took about 10-15min but its made fresh so i won't complain. The quantity was very generous and taste was amazing. I would definitely go back and highly recommend anyone without a second thought. We have to support small business like them!

Located along Yonge between Gerrard and Carlton, this is an unassuming "hole in the wall" type of restaurant, sharing its space with another food vendor. Indian food served takeout style, with limited 2-person tables inside. It seems to be family run and relatively new. Stumbled upon this place via the Ritual app, as this spot is participating in the new work email discount program. I ordered the small combo - at regular price, $10.99+tax, comes with 1 veg, 1 meat, rice, and naan or roti. The naan is made to order! Which was a really nice detail. I thought the portion served was very filling and could extend to 2 meals. I ordered the spinach paneer, butter chicken, and rice. I'm not sure what it was, there seemed to be an eggy flavour, but I unfortunately didn't like the spinach paneer that much. The butter chicken had a sweet heat to it. I liked it. The rice is pre-mixed with egg. I also ordered the mango lassi, which tasted so good, I'm still thinking about it more than a week later. Overall, I think this place is great for a budget, cheap eats type of meal. I wouldn't expect to be wowed but man, I know I'm coming here again soon to try the chicken biryani, because I don't know anywhere else in this area that sells that at that price.

Small Indian restaurant in the heart of downtown. They have good varieties of Indian dishes. Ordered 2 small non-veg combo with chicken curry, butter chicken and lamb with masala chai. Also got 2 complimentary golub Jamun. Spoke with the owner and she is a sweetheart. Would recommend checking them out!
