Took a stroll at port credit on one evening and decided to visit here for dinner. The tandoori chicken we ordered was perfectly cooked and tasty. The spices used were infused in the chicken. My friend ordered a beef thali and it was also good. Will highly recommend their tandoori chicken when you visit this area.

Very pleasant place that serves large portions at a reasonable price. If you’re not sure which dish you want, order Thali special which is a sampler of variety of dishes.

I’ve been coming here for the last seven years and feel quite confident giving a review. The service is always lovely, the owner Dan is very kind and welcoming. I can tell he’s passionate about his customers and providing quality dining experience. Also, did I mention the food is AMAZING!!! Easily one of the top restaurants in Port Credit!

Walked over this afternoon to pick up a vegetarian thali and some naan. I usually go to a vegetarian hot table place closer to my parents that's very aggressively priced, but this was a time sensitive craving. I'm so glad I walked over! The dining room is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The server was friendly and helpful, and my order was ready to go in about five minutes. Everything was really tasty! The paneer, dal, Chana, okra, and veggie dishes were all nice, not very spicy (maybe it's Port Credit Spicy lol.) Salad and rice were fresh. It comes with delicious little samosa and pakoras. The regular naan and garlic variety were both cooked perfectly. It's a good value for the lunch special price. And what an amazing location for the summer! Worth a visit.

Our first visit, but certainly not the last! The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere and the TV is a nice touch for when the game is on. The service is even better, friendly, warm and proud of the long history that this restaurant has in Port Credit. The best surprise was how good the food was! A few weeks earlier I was in Oakville and this was night / day better. Highly recommend the Talli (pardon my spelling - see photo) it offers several flavours on one dish and all were great! They offer special pricing on this dish during lunch and dinner and it’s delicious and abundant. Thanks again to Indian Cuisine by the Lake !

Excellent! Owner cares about quality. This place has authentic, high quality Indian dishes. The menu is quite varied and populous. There are North Indian and South Indian dishes as well as Hakka items. I tried the chicken 65, lamb chops, and fried rice. Chicken 65 was first class, just as it'd taste made by the seaside cooks in Chennai, but with some class. Lamb chops were well cooked and the marinade has a good fruity note to it, which many cooks can't get right with lamb chops. Fried rice was good, it was Hakka style, though this resto's interpretation goes off the beaten path. The server and owners are very cordial and take care of the guests. It is clear to me from their comport that they want every guest to be satisfied. Interior is cozy and decorated nicely. The cutlery and dining sets were remarkably spotless. Remarkable, because I dined at Mortons Steakhouse in Toronto 2 days ago and their cutlery was tainted. This is one of the few restos in the GTA where the owner is present, contributes, and ensures quality and guest satisfaction. This is reflected in the dining experience and the food. It was nice to walk along the Port Credit waterfront and finish the day off with dinner here. Very pleasant and satisfiying dining experience. It's an appropriate fixture in the Port Credit Lakeshore dining scene.

Craving authentic flavourful Indian food with a great view? Indian Cuisine by the Lake is the place to be ✨ Located in the heart of Port Credit overlooking the lake, this restaurant serves delicious, mouth watering Indian food. The best part is that they cater to everyone’s needs. Whether you are gluten-free or vegan, they make accommodations to your diet. For example, they use coconut milk instead of cream. They also use tofu instead of paneer. They make everything fresh and customized to your dietary needs. Everything is made at the restaurant and you can see your food being prepared right in front of you with their open kitchen concept! We tried the following dishes: Veggie mixed grill 2 Garlic naan Peshwari naan Navaratan korma Special lababdar mushroom and tofu Chana masala in madras curry sauce Gulab Jamun Kulfi We absolutely recommend trying peshwari naan, special lababdar tofu/mushroom curry and navratan korma. We loved the hospitality by Raj and Danny!
