Looking for a place to have a drink in new year’s eve just before midnight, we landed here. We were happily surprised there many tables available. We had some wine, beer, and seltzers with an order of large fries (it was huge!). So glad to see that the TVs in this bar had the Canadian new year’s countdown (instead of the boring NY apple drop). A few minutes before midnight, they served some delicious bubbly to everyone.

Its an old pub so very unique. The staff don't communicate well, the downstairs hostess didn't have our reservation..upstairs did but only for 4 and we were 5. The food..not fabulous. One of the salads had old or not fresh lettuce. No real plates..flimsy paper plates. The sampler platter was filled with fries..and over cooked items. When asked for a refund on the salad we were told there was no manager on site so he couldn't do anything. This was a Friday night..why no manager? Atmosphere was cool..old pubs should look like this and it was clean although we didn't use the bathroom so can't speak to that. Would we go back..perhaps for a beer but considering they didn't have a few wines that were asked for probably not.

I used to like coming here for a beer and enjoying the atmosphere. When I came earlier on in the year I found the place dirty. I sat by the window on the main floor and could see all the dust and grunge. Looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in a long time. In addition, the beer prices were on a par with what you would find at a classier place with good amenities. Don't think I will return....

Went with a group of 8 friends. It’s important to come early if you have a larger group because spaces fill up FAST! The portion of food was large, though my food was a bit cold. They are a bit understaffed so ordering and wait times are a lot longer than usual. Though the vibes were nice and it’s a great place to have a good time!

Imperial Pub is a true vintage gem with an authentic vibe that transports you back in time. The interior, with its cozy bookshelf and pool table, exudes a classic charm, and the option to sit outside is a fantastic bonus. Even though we arrived too late to try the food—the kitchen was closed—sitting outside in front of the square was a treat. You get to enjoy the full view of the square and all the activity around it, which adds to the experience. The exterior is adorned with stickers of various beers, setting the mood for an awesome beer experience. The drinks were fantastic, and the hospitality was equally great. The best part? It wasn’t too costly, and the bar stays open until 2:00 a.m., making it the perfect spot for a late-night hangout. The whole atmosphere, with its authentic United Kingdom-style vibe, left a lasting impression. I can still recall the distinct fragrance and ambiance of sitting there—truly an amazing feeling.

The staff took care to make sure we were happy with the food. They provided extra fish for the fish n chips as the order came with a very small portion. An issue with a burger was also addressed. We were on the patio which was very nice. The interior is a bit less attractive.

Great spot for a pint and meal in the heart of downtown. Imperial has been around forever and is a neighbourhoods staple. Authentic pub vibes, especially upstairs in what they call the library, which is my favourite spot and also where the patio is located. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is delicious, and service is accommodating. Definitely my favourite spot in the area to grab a drink. Highly recommend!

I recently visited this place and it was a terrible experience. The place was crowded and smelly, with no forks, knives, or water provided. The service was non-existent, making the whole experience extremely unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Disgusting. The fish did not taste like a fish! And potato tasted bland! An awful experience
