Sadly I might have to give up on this restaurant. Not sure what is happening in the kitchen but the cooks need to do a quick google search for a pepperoni and cheese pizza recipe. Among the ingredients is…tomato sauce! I order pizza from them around once a month and the quality is so inconsistent. The pizza has zero tomato sauce on it, I might as well be eating a grilled cheese sandwich with ham. Come on guys it’s not rocket science, tomato sauce is the first ingredient that goes on a pizza - put it on there! For the time being the Pizzaiolo next door will get my money…heck! maybe even the Pizza Pizza that’s been here forever too. You know things are on the downtrend when I’m considering going back to the Pizza Pizza next door. Fellas, it’s time to read the google reviews, schedule a staff meeting and do some homework!

A true hidden gem for traditional Italian grandma-style pizza, generously loaded with cheese. Be sure to ask for it well done, as the base tends to soften quickly under the toppings. The atmosphere is cozy and chic, though there was only one server on a Saturday night. On my pepperoni pizza, the slices were placed both above and below the cheese. I prefer them on top to avoid steaming. The pizza is a bit greasy, but you can easily blot it with napkins. Overall, it offers great value—$22 for a large dine-in pizza that’s quite filling. Parking seemed limited, but I managed to find a spot right out front. I'll be revisiting to try the other items.

Great tasting pizza, good amount of cheese and the toppings are excellent. Only complaint is that I wish there was more tomato sauce, can’t really taste any but a great slice none the less. The dip reminds me of pizza pizza garlic so it’s a good dip as well. Update: went back another time and asked for extra tomato sauce and the pizza was phenomenal. Went from 4star to 5star rating easily.

I have been eating Il pae since I was 6 years old. Roughly 24 years. Hands down the best authentic Italian tasting pizza I've ever had. No pizza compares no matter where I've gone. I rant and rave about it to everyone. The sauce and spices are chef's kiss. I've also always loved their tortellini and panzerotti. Friendly staff, cute little restaurant, service is always quick. Forever my favourite pizza place. Fan for life (:

Great local pizzeria that’s been in the area for a long time. Pizza was made fresh and delicious. Crust had a nice chew to it. The service was amazing, very attentive, very polite, friendly and accommodating. There are a few parking spots in front of the store and just enough indoor seats. There is a washroom here as well.

Pizza is generally good. Service is not attentive, in that I specifically asked that the driver not ring the bell and instead knock on the front window where I was sitting. They said no, but will make a note to call. Guy arrived, rang the doorbell, woke my son, and was quick to point out no note was on the bill (Pizza Pizza does better than this). Also specifically asked if they make the gnocchi in-house or if it's pre-made / frozen. Perhaps it is made in-house, but it is the most dense, chewy, undercooked, and nasty gnocchi we've ever had. It tastes like raw flour and added $23 to the bill. Note that I am writing this within minutes of delivery. We also had some sort of yellow paper in the gnocchi after trying it. It is in the bottom left of the first pic. We have ordered pizza from here since the COVID lockdowns, but never again will we order gnocchi (or any other of their overpriced pastas). To their credit, when I called, they immediately offered a credit for the gnocchi towards our next order. I've had pizza joints reneg on this in the past, but I want to trust this place - I will update after we order pizza again. UPDATE: we just got into the meatballs, and they are undercooked and slightly pink in the middle. We have ordered meatballs to mash on our pizza since we started ordering from here. These are disgusting, and I'm fed up. Not even worth calling to complain - they just lost a customer.

We usually take out pizza for here for work but today we ate in for dinner. It’s an old school place, a very quaint and friendly atmosphere. The server is great and it was semi-busy for eat-in and busy for take out. The food was fantastic. Very authentic Italian sauce for the pastas, the veal sandwich was great and very tender, and the panzarotto was baked perfect. I highly recommend this place for eat in or take out. The food was amazing.
