My boyfriend and I had dinner here on New Year’s Eve. It was our first time there. We ordered calamari and arancini for appetizers. I loooved the rice balls 10/10. My boyfriend said it wasn’t the best calamari, but he still ate it all and enjoyed. We ordered the asiago chicken and the lamb for entrees. My chicken was absolutely delicious, the seasonal vegetables were green beans and cubed turnips and some other root veg (yum) With mashed potatoes. I didn’t realize it was stuffed chicken but that was a plus for me. Very delicious meal, we will be back.

Last night was our third time eating here and we've loved it every time! The atmosphere and service are great, and we really appreciated the free glasses of prosecco offered for New Year's Eve! We went with our two-month-old in his car seat and when we asked to switch to a booth for him we were able to despite it being a busy holiday evening! We got mussels in white wine sauce (delicious), mushroom truffle pizza, and sausage + onion pizza. The pizzas could have used another minute or two in the oven, but still very tasty! We love this spot for a special, slightly upscale meal that won't break the bank! I would love a steak on the menu in future! We will be back!

We had calamari for appetizer and I ordered the Diavola Pizza. The calamari was a little under cooked but the sauce was very good. The pizza dough is made with 00 flour which makes a lot of difference, but there was res pepper on top of the salami instead of the spicy salami. My friends ordered the fig & prosciutto pizza and it was amazing.

Ordered margarita pizza and Roma salad. The salad was good! The pizza wasn’t what I expected. Overall the sauce was far too salty and it could have been cooked longer. The crust was very pale.

I have never had a horrible experience such as I had in a restaurant before! I ordered calamari and they were so salty that I could not eat them. The Caesar salad was salty as well. The croutons and bacon were equally salty. The waitress must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. I have never experienced such rudeness before, not only to myself, but also one of our other friends. I was beside myself in shock at how openly rude she was and didn’t care to even try to hide it. Clearly, she didn’t care. I’m not surprised that aside from our table, there were two other tables of patrons in this busy season. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Problems with the food I can understand and forgive, but the way I was treated, is reprehensible.

Food was delicious but portion size maybe not enough if you are hungry. Not sure why but it was almost a private lunch, just 2 small groups at 1pm (lunch time).

Good not great. Was a big fan back in the 90s when Il Fornello was only in Toronto, it had a slightly upscale feel, first place I had wood oven pizza in Ontario. Tonight was a bit different than I remember. Gone are the cloth tablecloths and napkins, water goblets and such. The bruschetta was good, but the bread was barely toasted. The pasta with my chicken parm was overcooked and the sauce tasted like fresh passata with some basil. M wife’s pasta was over sauced as well. Service was good, it’s a nice enough place, not like they used to be.

Delicious food, warm inviting atmosphere, reasonably priced (some things are on the more expensive side), good service! Was busy both times we were there so consider making a reservation. Forgot to take pictures the first time we were there but the fettuccine Alfredo was incredible. The other items we tried were also great, but I think the fettuccine wins in my books. Expect to spend around $20-$50 a person, depending on what you order. They also have a large plant based menu, didn’t try it but worth noting.
