iDay Break Grill

I was told 2 minutes until my order was done, 5 minutes later I ask again and get told 5 minutes more. I’m a little personally upset that I was told a completely off time but just say nicely that I’ll skip this order and to have a good night. When I do that the cook / cashier loses his temper and starts yelling at me. I say it’s okay I’m not angry even though I am just to calm the tempers and he starts going off more while I slowly walk to the door. I try explaining that other uber drivers will come and he starts yelling incoherently at me about no uber drivers coming. The order had a tip and since I cancelled it, uber will increase the base pay to get someone to pick it up. He just keeps yelling and cutting me off so I leave. I do uber a lot, I’ve never seen a store act like this without being prompted. I said sorry, thanks etc and was all polite even though I was given a fake time that in the end according to the guy would be 5x the original wait.

Surpassed my expectations this is a solid no frills breakfast joint where you can get simple breakfast done right at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work! 4/5 ⭐️

We’re a group of friends who love reviewing breakfast spots—a bit like a book club, but with breakfast! The I-Daybreak Café was an excellent choice. The waitress was clearly overworked, but she did an amazing job keeping our coffee cups full, even as the place filled up. The eggs were cooked well, and the bacon was perfectly prepared and generous in portion. Prices were very affordable, making this spot great for casual gatherings. Our only suggestion would be to add some artwork to tone down the cheerful, bright walls just a bit.

Just stopped in. Had a day off work and decided to treat myself to a breakfast. Service was great, and the guy who cooked my food did an amazing job. Big portions, couldn't eat all of it and I'm a fairly large guy with a big appetite. Wonderful little place.

Amazing food. Only had breakfast here before and stopped in for lunch while my husband was getting his hair cut. I had the club and son had the burger. Both were outstanding. Fresh and hot and the home fries and french fries were seasoned perfectly. Do yourself a favour and give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Truely delectable dining

I needed a breakfast place that was open at 6 AM, yes 6 AM. This is one of the only breakfast restaurants in Durham open at that time, not including Tim Hortons, McDonald's, etc... The place is brightly lit with yellow painted walls. It's clean and neat. Coffee came fast and hot, wasn't half way through my first cup before I was asked if I wanted more. That's always good. I ordered Eggs Benedict with peameal bacon and homefries, with extra hollandaise sauce on the homefries. The breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty. The hollandaise sauce is a little different than most diners around here, with slight possibily curry flavor. Homefries were deep fried, crispy and we'll seasoned. The eggs were softer than medium but still good. Coffee was refilled many times and was good. I have to say my server who was also the cook was very nice and pleasant. Very attentive and helpful. I'd recommend iDaybreak Grill for anyone wanting good food and even better value.

Always have fantastic meals here. Today I had a turkey club and my husband got the perogie breakfast. The service was fast and food hot. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. There is a great menu. Protocols in place. I highly recommend you go there, you will not be disappointed. 🥰🍁

Service was very nice and friendly but food lacked unfortunately. Thankfully we had a nice server who stopped by frequently and refilled the coffees. She was pleasant for sure. Food was plain tasting overall.
