Ichiban Asian All You Can Eat North York

Restaurant is pretty packed, with not much table space for smaller groups. Services speed is on the slower side for ayce but overall not too bad. Ordering is through the iPad so it’s easy. Food counters are also on the side for things like salad, soup and desserts (they have a snow cone machine which was pretty unique, though not nearly as good as actual shaved ice). They had a few pudding like desserts and they were really tasty. Quality of the food was pretty good, from the fish to the stir fried and grilled items. The menu variety was a good size, with a lot to choose from. Their signature Ichiban roll was loaded and actually quite good. I’m usually not a fan of sushi with a lot of toppings and sauce, but this one worked. Would recommend everyone to try it

Overall a really good option for AYCE sushi. I think their quality has really improved from before. They have quite a few special options like the snow crab tempera, octopus salad, lots of torched sushi, etc. Their cocktails are also quite interesting and yummy. I also love that they place their sashimi on ice, I think it helps keep it fresh. They also have a good variety of desserts and an ice machine where you can make our own shaved iced. Staff was kind and the food came quickly. We did feel a bit rushed even though we came on a weekday and it wasn’t busy. However, overall we enjoyed it.

Really great service, I came alone and I felt really comfortable as an introvert. The food was tasty and fresh, portion sizes were not too big so you can get lots of items. I got the special 23.99 lunch ayce and it was worth the pricing with eating variety of Japanese dishes even if you can only have their seafood and veg options!

To anyone planning to visit, please make sure to reserve your seat in advance. When you arrive, ask the staff for your reservation as they handle a lot of requests, so it’s best to plan ahead,consider going on a weekday to avoid the crowds. But honestly, every moment spent waiting is worth it. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the best sushi here , I highly recommend this place.🙌

I have been living in that area for nearly 8 years and first time I went there!!!! I wish i did it before. I thought the whole place was only the space that you see from the outside... itbis actually huge inside... they have 2 more areas for seating. They have the 23.99 all you can eat for lunch Mon to Friday so it was good for someone trying for the first time. I liked it. The food was good, nice presentation and fast. Our waiter was nice and fast to attend to our requests. The all you can east menu, does not include the sashimi so be careful but the menu is huge. The bathrooms were clean too. I will sure go there again. Now you might be wondering why I gave 4 stars and not 5... Wellll... I didn't like the tables since they are put so tight and you have to squeeze yourself in so make sure you pick a table to moving Chairs versus a booth. 2nd, they have a 1.5 hours seating time!!! That is not nice and like an insult. Especially when the place was not full so you are not reserving a table that they could give to other customers. Instead of eating slowly and enjoying the company of who you are with, you have to order fast and eat fast etc etc... I don't think that 1.5 hours is a good customer service for you customers even though they give you max 2 hours but they tell you that this is your last order !! As if then you have to leave!!! I would understand of the place was full but I don't understand when the room we were in had only one other table so not right. ( the pics show you how empty the place was when we were there so nooo need for this 1.5 hours )... I can't go with friends there if we want to sit and eat and talk... you have to eat fast else you have to leave. I liked the robot idea... cute. Will I go there again, for sure :)))

I recommend it, but make a reservation and try to go on a weekday. First of all, definitely make a reservation. We went without one, and they took our names and numbers at the door, saying they would add us to the list. They told us they’d call in about 30 minutes, so we decided to walk around the mall. After 45 minutes, no one had called, so we went back to check. We noticed that the names above and below ours on the list were crossed off. When we asked, they immediately seated us. They said they’d call but never did, so I recommend staying nearby or reminding them of your spot on the list. This was my second visit here, and although the initial experience was a bit frustrating, it didn’t affect the quality of the food. Even though it’s all-you-can-eat, the food is genuinely delicious and consistently high-quality. The hot and sour soup is the best in town. I’ve searched for this flavor in other restaurants but haven’t found it anywhere else. The sushi rolls are quite good. I tried nearly all of them, except the ones with eel. Of course, my favorite is the lamb skewer! The meat was naturally fatty and juicy, which I loved. I also enjoyed their ice cream—I honestly don’t remember eating that much ice cream anywhere else! We ordered a total of 8 rolls initially, which came right away, but then we had to wait another 20-25 minutes. During that time, we filled up on the salad and soup bar. We weren’t the only ones waiting; two tables next to us also experienced delays with their orders. Unfortunately, if you’re very hungry during this wait, you’ll end up filling up on other items, which was a downside for me. Overall, the food is good, and the staff were constantly busy, so I believe the delays were more likely due to the kitchen than the servers. It seems there might have been some mix-up with the orders, causing delays.

We made a reservation but had to wait around 15-20min to still be seated, there were a lot of reservations that also had to wait. But the staff were very kind. Sushi was very good but some of the grilled items could be a little better. Overall the experience was still a good one and I hope to come back again.
