Everything about this place was amazing. Our waiter was attentive young Somali fella. I ordered rice and beef steak and it was the best meal that I have ever had & I am an avid foodie/traveller. My siblings ordered goat meat with pasta alfredo and the chicken drumsticks were cooked to perfection. I've been coming to this place regularly. It's funny how, IBY of all the places stole my heart and overrated restaurants like 360 restaurant is hyped. Amazing place. It should be on the map.

You know it's authentic when the only customers you see are of that ethnicity me and my friend were the only people who weren't Somali in the building. The beef by far was my favorite I believe it was the beef steak it was thinly sliced but it was seasoned so well so juicy so much flavors, we also got the t-bone steak which was juicy and tender as well the flavors weren't as unique but it still tasted so good, the rice looks plain however whatever they boiled it in was definitely seasoned because it had a lot of flavor. The chicken was the only thing that was mediocre for me it was chicken breast with what tasted like barbecue sauce on it, if I went again I would definitely get the beef. Each meal came with a soup and a drink as well as they bring bananas because it is common for you to eat banana with your rice

Very delicious Somali food. The place is clean and staff are friendly. Their buffet doesn't have much options but whatever they have is decent. I prefer the menu option there. The quantity is great and more than enough and they cook it fresh for you. You have to try the Somali tea. It's different and really sets your mood up.

Somalian and Mediterranean dishes - very simple and basic menu. The food is cooked rather well. The lentil soup is on the house as a starter - not too thick and light on spices. The ground beef sambuusa were a little more on the spicy and the pastry shell was a little more dry brown in color than commercial baked sheets. The beef suqaar had a good cut of meat done well and not spicy that went well with sabaayah AND malawax. The chicken kabob had cubes grilled patiently (with tasteful spices - not overloaded) that went well with the fried rice sprinkled with a few vegetables. The rice pudding was sweet with undue excess sugar. All in all, a nice clean place to enjoy a meal at a leisurely pace.

I came here for the Ramadan buffet with a bunch of people. I enjoyed the food a lot. The employees were very attentive and very kind. There was an area outside where everyone prayed when it was time to break the fast. It was a bit pricey for the Ramadan buffet at $14.99. This place normally looks empty compared to Afrah next door, and it has always been off putting for me to come here for that reason, but I was very satisfied with the food and my overall experience. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

The New East African restaurant is absolutely beautiful place. Decor is great, everyone look beautiful and dressed. Our waitress was attentive He gave good recomendations. One of the best Lunch I have ever had. We ordered Goal meal dish and some other dishes that were completely amazing .......... Stellar and Topnotch New restaurant welcome...
