Came here with a bunch of friends ordered their 14 course and tried so many different things! They had a special going on we definitely loved their skewers and their scallops! Also the fried rice was so tasty I’ll definitely be coming back

This place has pretty nice vibes - with a lot of camping and retro decor. Staff were very nice and friendly. They have a 4-person combo deal right now at about $80 - 40% off its original price. It's a full course meal with appetizers, skewers, mains and desserts. Some highlights include: - Lamb & Beef Skewers - Fishballs & Rice Cakes - Garlic Eggplant - Enoki Mushroom - Cabbage & Sweet Potato - Beef Cattle Ligament & Bean Curd - Chicken Feet with Pickle Peppers - Fried Rice - Sweet Red Bean Soup Portion size is pretty generous - we were all stuffed!

We two arrived at 11:30 at night and the restaurant is still open till 3:00. It is so convenient for night owls. Food is authentic and made us feel like eat in China. We ordered lamb kebab which is delicious. Korean cold noodles tastes good. Service is fast and great. Will definitely come back again.

I recently dined at Hype BBQ in Scarborough, and I must say, it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, things started going downhill. The service was incredibly slow; it took ages for our order to be taken and even longer for the food to arrive. To add insult to injury, the prices were outrageous. I was shocked to see that they charged $5 for a single stick of chives. Yes, you read that right—a single stick! Considering you can buy a whole bunch of chives for less than $2 at the grocery store, this felt like highway robbery. We waited and waited, and when the food finally started to trickle out of the kitchen, it was so slow that our appetites began to wane. We had to cancel a few dishes because the wait was just unbearable. It's a real shame because the food itself wasn’t terrible, but the poor service and ridiculous pricing completely overshadowed any potential enjoyment. On a more positive note, the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. If you’re looking for a place with nice décor and you’re not in any hurry to eat, then Hype BBQ might suit you. However, if you value your time, money, and overall dining experience, I’d recommend steering clear of this place. There are plenty of other restaurants in Scarborough that offer better service and value for your money. Hype BBQ, unfortunately, does not live up to the hype.

Small cute place. Camping theme. Service was slowish as others mentioned but not overly. Food was hot and cooked well. I have a few issues. 1) all items are spiced with the exact same spice. Lamb, pork belly, cabbage. Doesn't matter. All the same. 2) they had no forks for someone who couldn't use chopsticks due to arthritis 3) we had ordered a soup but received no spoons or small bowls to share it or eat it. Most distrubing of all 4) while we were eating, two kitchen staff came out with a bucket of raw meat, sat at the table next to us and proceeded to make skewers in the dining room. When I say next to us, I mean we literally turned to the guy and asked for our bill. He got it, never taking his glove off that was in the raw meat and just sat back down and started skewering the meat again. I will not be returning.
