Good stuff! High quality and thick cut sashimi! Large menu with a variety of different items to order! Good space and pace especially with the demand of AYCE! The one thing was the shrimp which had a pretty weird aftertaste.. wouldn’t recommend, unless we just got it on a bad day. Either way, would still come back for more!

Hug Sushi is doing something against Google review guidelines. They cannot ask for a five star rating which they do, and offer you a free dessert. The food at this restaurant is well below average of all you can eat sushi. The Fish quality is low. The overall selection is not as big as other places. I was quite disappointed because now I know why the rating is so high. Won’t be back obviously and don’t recommend.

Generally my goto stop on my way into the city. Generous portion sizes for the bento. The 3 roll special is a pretty good deal also. I don't recommend the lunch torch special. Once, I did get a hair in my food, and they knocked of 50% from that dish. Discount if you pay cash. I personally think they should've compted that dish entirely. Most times otherwise have been decent. I normally don't get the AYCE. Ordering is on a tablet. Service could be better. Note they charge for tea.

Has potential but no way near a 4.8/5. Food: was way below ratings. Most dishes were bland. Torched salmon was way below expectations servings were on the small side so which is fine if the service was perfect. Sashimi was ok just as what you would expect at an AYCE. There was not a single dish that stood out to us. Service 1/5: Far from perfect. We came in on a Sunday 5pm. Barely any customers as it was before dinner. Drinks were never refilled, food orders take forever to come out. Numerous times our orders were missed so we had to re order. Definitely needs to step up. Atmosphere 3/5: Nice clean corner location. Overall 2/5: This place is nowhere near the rating that it has. Would be the last AYCE i would recommend in the area.

I ordered a takeout platter from here. The quality was great! Pricewise, it was good value for takeout, but AYCE dinner is a bit pricey. I had to wait almost 45 minutes after ordering even though they informed me it would be 15-20 minutes (not busy inside) - otherwise it may have been a better review.

Food: 4 Stars Service: 4 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 4 Stars Overall: 4 Stars We usually opt for takeout from Hug Sushi at the Richmond Hill location, and it has consistently been a delightful experience. Love that the Vaughan location also provides the same similar experience. Their party tray options are outstanding, offering fresh sushi at an excellent price. The portions are generous, making it fantastic value for money. We often order from here for our family gatherings, and the freshness and quality of the sushi never disappoint. The staff is always prompt in preparing our orders, and they are meticulous in accommodating our special requests, which we greatly appreciate. One minor suggestion for improvement would be to expand the variety within the party trays. However, the current selection is still satisfying and delicious. Overall, Hug Sushi has become our go-to spot for takeout sushi, and we will definitely be frequenting it more often. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality sushi at reasonable prices. kellychan360
