I visited Hello Nori on a Monday for lunch, so it wasn’t as busy as usual. As a temaki fan, I was excited to try their set, which includes 6 hand rolls for $35. Overall, the seafood was high-quality and fresh. Each temaki was made right in front of me, and they’re best enjoyed within 10 seconds for optimal taste and texture. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly. That said, I was only really impressed with 3 out of the 6 flavors: the Hokkaido Scallop, Snow Crab, and Truffle Lobster were standouts. The other three (Toro, Yellowtail, and Ora King Salmon) were just okay and felt similar to what you’d find at other sushi spots in the city. Worth a visit, especially for the unique experience, but I’d probably stick to my favorite flavors next time!

Wonderful dining experience! Hand rolls are made in front of you & are supposed to be eaten immediately upon serving. They have good vegetarian options, service was great. My side order was Edamame it was average, maybe avoid that. Loved the mochi ice cream dessert ! Will definitely be back.

OK. Absolutely the best takeout that I’ve ever had. So friendly at the start.Daniel is a total pleasure. Then I ran into a few other staff. most important the food, which was just unbelievably perfectly prepared. Love that the rice was warm. So good. All kindly prepared and loving. This is hands-down, my new favourite local lover.

First time trying Hello Nori and I will say I enjoyed the experience! The food was tasty and super fresh! I got the 6 hand rolls for $35 and I also added an extra hand roll along with a side of salmon in Aburi. (We were all very full by the time we finished). The Lychee Berry and Sakura Blossom Cocktails were delicious and I recommend trying them! The wait time for a group of 4 was just over an hour on a Friday night but the service throughout the entire visit was amazing. Servers are very attentive and great at making conversation. Overall, I would visit again, hopefully when the wait isn’t too long and the bar style is very unique and fun way to dine!

The hand rolls are made in front of you with fresh seafood, warm rice, and crispy nori. I enjoyed the five hand roll set menu, especially the Hokkaido scallop and the truffle lobster hand rolls. The mochi ice cream was good but it was three small pieces. You can choose your flavours. I liked mango, matcha, and strawberry. The food was wonderful but it was overpriced. This beautifully designed spot is good for a quick meal as service is fast. There were mistakes on our bill, so I'd recommend checking your bill before you pay. Bar stool seating only. Reservations are not accepted. Apparently wait times are usually less than 10-15 minutes. We went on a Monday evening at 5 pm and it wasn't busy.

I had a wonderful evening at Hello Nori in Toronto on November 1st. The service was excellent, and I want to give a special mention to our server, Luis Daniel. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. The food was fresh and delicious, with each dish showcasing great flavors and quality ingredients. It was clear a lot of care went into the preparation. Overall, Hello Nori is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for a quality dining experience in Toronto. Thank you to the team, especially Luis Daniel, for a lovely night!

I’ve been to their locations in Vancouver, so while in Toronto, I had to check this one out! Even though the staff are new here, they’ve maintained the same great consistency in quality of food. Some of them were still learning so I’ll give them a little leeway since it’s their first week. I love the warm rice with cold fish and that crispy nori. This time I decided to try the Pickled Vegetable roll and was pleasantly surprised! I also had the Spicy Tuna and my usual Truffle Lobster. I added Avocado to my Salmon roll and Cucumber to the Yellow Tail Roll, perfection! The bit of green in the rolls of some of my pictures is wasabi, real wasabi!

Went to their soft opening. Really great atmosphere and location. Quality of the seafood is excellent, really enjoyed the spicy shrimp and tuna. The pressed rolls were excellent as well. Servers are super friendly and I like how the chefs make the sushi in front of you as well. Will definitely go back :)
