Me and a friend went to eat in for lunch a few weeks ago and it was absolutely delicious! My friend who lived in Ukraine as a child assured me that the food was super authentic and I could believe it as everything was so good. I really recommend the borscht and the split pea chebureck as they were 'heavenly'!

Tastiest schnitzel around! Came in with my sister and we were both very pleased with our choices (Chicken Schnitzel with perogies, and Chicken Wushka). My favourite my the carrot salad side. Nice quiet atmosphere tucked away in downtown, I’ve had a good time every time I’ve come in :)

Authentic Ukrainian food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff! They also have different types of cheesecake and affordable but delicious coffee. Sincerely recommend to everyone!

Fabulous little place that serves real authentic Ukrainian food out of a church basement. Their Borsch and Cabbage Rolls are exceptional.

If you eat only one meal out in Toronto, don’t miss heavenly Perogy! Homemade Ukrainian food is a darling restaurant in the basement of a church. Cute ambiance is accompanied by kind and quick service. We tried borsch after our servers recommendation and it ended up being my favorite. From perogies to schnitzel to stuffed cabbage, we tried it all and it was all so delicious we cleaned our plates. A truely unique and delicious experience.

I saw the menu and told google to take me there straight away. Was slightly confused when I stopped at a church (I didn't read the entire description, was too excited about perogy!!!) but eating authentic food in a church basement was probably the coolest thing I did in my short Toronto stay. Perogy were delicious and I would definitely order the take-out frozen bundles if I lived there.

Have had take-out and dined in. Best items are meat cabbage rolls, meatballs, deep fried meat pockets, coleslaw, & sausage. Potato and cheddar pierogies are average, dessert pierogie fillings taste like canned pie filling; schnitzels and skewers tend to be overcooked and dry. Would really love more sour cream; always need to buy more sour cream. If you enjoy dining in unusual spaces, the downstairs of this church is unique. Mostly empty, very quiet, few other diners, and a nice pace of food couriers in and out. Nice counter-customer service. Good packaging and nice flat bottom paper bags for take-out. Paid parking lot outside of church. Note lots of stairs, believe there is a small elevator.

This is a very, very enjoyable place to have lunch in downtown Toronto. Admittedly it is a tiny bit obscure because it is in the basement of a church on Bathurst street. The food is very very friendly and superbly comforting on a cold day or even a warm summer's afternoon. Woman cooking is gracious and welcoming and everything is more or less perfect . Atmosphere is that of the church basement in a very, very charming way. I highly recommend this restaurant.
