Haze Restaurant + Lounge - Yonge St Richmond Hill

I always come to this haze but recently the service, food and Shisha has been terrible. I came on pretty quiet wednesday and asked for a booth as we were originally 5 but cut down to 3 and we had to constantly call for a server. Our food came out after a whole hour as they never put it through in the first place, the Shisha kept burning out on us and wasn’t pulling correctly and lastly we were giving EXPIRED drinks. When I asked to speak with a manager the servers were very rude and disrespectful and told us “there’s no manager on the floor, and for the bill we will be adding a 18% gratuity because the booths are reserved for 6 or more”. I was absolutely disgusted with their behaviour and eventually a manager did arrive and told us there was no gratuity and he’ll remove all of the drinks from our bill. In my opinion stay away from haze in Richmond and only go to the one in Mississauga as they actually value their customers and continue to show great service. It’s funny how the menu is the same but the food tastes completely different.

If you’re looking for a young vibe, music and modern surroundings this place is for you! Food is good, they have cool milkshakes and mocktails, shisha flavours are really nice. Check it out on weekend nights if you get the chance.

Horrible experience. Long wait times on food, messed up out order, prices were high and charged us %18 gratuity for bad service. Then they asked us to give them a 5 star review afterwards.

Hummus and pita is delicious, however their portion doesn't live up to the price charged. We asked for extra hummus and didn't really get more than the regular portion. Other items are on the high side in terms of price. Hot mud is fantastic! Atmosphere overall is better than other shisha lounges.

We went there for a Shisha and ordered some tea as well. The shisha was sorta okay, but the tea was a cup of lukewarm water with a tea bag on the side. The furniture was not clean at all and for a group of 4 they charged 18% gratuity, they dont hand out menus, there is a QR code on the table that takes you to their website and I couldn’t find that gratuity rule anywhere on the website (at the time of this review) but they charge you anyway, I’m not sure if this is legal or not.

The service was friendly and efficient, with staff promptly attending to our drink orders and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our visit. However, I noticed a slight delay in receiving our initial drinks, which could be improved for a smoother customer experience. While I didn't try the food on this occasion, the menu looked enticing, and I'm inclined to return for a meal next time. The variety of dishes available seemed promising, and I've heard positive feedback about their food quality. In summary, Haze Restaurant + Lounge is a good spot for drinks and socializing in Richmond Hill. It was surprisingly a very good experience overall. Food was amazing, ambiance was cool, service was quick, staff was great. What else could you ask for on a Sunday evening!! We tried a couple of their burgers, jalapeño poppers, pasta, drinks, everything was delicious. Burgers were especially amazing, with generous sized perfectly juicy patties, and balanced sauces. Good job!! Highly recommended!!

Everything we had was delicious, hot and served quickly. Service from waitress was excellent and manager took time to come from kitchen to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Amazing halal options, we had the NY steak, beef lasagna and honey garlic wings and all very impressive and delicious. Salad was so good we fought over it!
