Hayat Turkish Cuisine

We were in the area and went in to eat. Great ambiance love the green & brass combo. The menu is extensive and has loads of options. The service was excellent, and our server was courteous and gave us tips on what is popular. The kunafa was good, the cheese was a little more chewy than I would have liked, and a suggestion - please give the sugar syrup separately so one can add as much or as little as they want.

The Hayat Turkish Restaurant was a great experience. The food was fresh, authentic and tasty. Alicia our server was great explaining all the dishes and really attentive. Overall, a really great experience and the food was incredible

Great spot for some Turkish dining. The restaurant is very nicely kept and decorated to give a nice fancy look. The service is very attentive and friendly which along with the nicely kept restaurant makes a great dining experience. We tried a few items starting off with calamari for the apps. This was quite good. For the mains, for the beef Adana kebab and while it was good, we have had better more juicy and flavourful Adana in other places. Also wish it was a bit more spicy. Also got the chicken breast kebab and enjoyed that. Both the main came with small bread and rice along with veggies which made for a nice touch. For dessert, we got the tres-leches cake which was excellent. We were also provided commentary ice cream as it was our celebration which goes to the great service.

one of the best dining experiences at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. What made the evening even more special was our server, Alica. She was incredibly kind, patient, fast, and so friendly. She truly reminded me of my family back home. Thank you, Alica, for making the night so memorable! I highly recommend this restaurant—everything about it is just perfect!

We were very excited to try out Hayat before they opened and we finally tried it today! The server was wonderful and offered suggestions when we weren’t sure what to get. We got the Tomato & Beef Kebab, Chicken Adana Kebab, and Lamb Chops. We also got one of the Pides and Kunefe + ice cream for dessert. All were very tasty and excellent portions for the price. Can’t wait to be back! 😊

We just visited Hayat for the 2nd time, and I am happy to give this place a full 5 stars. Everything is excellent, and it's great to have this type of food option out in Bowmanville. The food is first class. We tried a sampler platter the first time and so got to try a number of items in one visit. My wife particularly likes lamb chops, and both times we visited, the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The non alcoholic drinks were refreshing and tasty. Top marks also go to the servers, who are welcoming, friendly and efficient. Atmosphere and decor are very appropriate, and the place is spotlessly clean. Totally recommend this place if you like good tasty food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Authentic and Delicious – A Gem in Bowmanville! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hayat Turkish Cuisine in Bowmanville, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The authenticity of the recipes shines through in every dish. The freshly baked bread was perfect, the tea, the baked Pide, dips were just perfect even the extra virgin olive oil I requested was of real, high quality Olive oil. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and added to the overall experience. The cutlery was very special and reflected the restaurant’s unique vibe. The service was professional and positive, with our server ensuring we had everything we needed. I highly encourage the team to keep up this excellent standard in quality, presentation, and service. It would be wonderful to see them introduce a Turkish breakfast, as the Durham region needs more restaurants of this caliber.

I recently dined at Hayat and I was thoroughly impressed, The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the server contributed to that by being professional yet personable. If you're looking for authentic Turkish food with top-notch service, I highly recommend Hayat. The server here truly elevate the dining experience. Can't wait to return.
