Karaage sandwich was delicious! (only feedback is that I wish it had more pickles). Definitely coming back to try more of their menu

This hot chick karaage sandwich is so good. Perfect amount of spice, nice hot chicken between two thinner buns. I agree with the other review saying it could use a little more sauce and pickles. That would make the favor even better. But no complaints the chicken is moist but also super crispy. Huge W if I didn’t live 30 km away I’d be here regularly Edit got it twice: I’ll be back for my third one soon Edit got it 3 times: will be back for 4th time

Sandwich was very good and very large. I would have appreciated more sauce and more pickle but would definitely go back. I did not find the "spicy chicken" sandwich to be spicy, though. Delicious, just not spicy.

I'd heard much about Hawk and Chick, and had walked by during DoWest and it was unfortunately closed, so I had vowed to return. When I lived temporarily in the Dundas West neighbourhood, Hawk and Chick was high on my list. It didn't disappoint. It is, a hole in the wall -- literally, but within that hole in the wall is some really interesting food. The first time we were there, we ordered the burnt ends. I liked them, but I've had better. Also, I had the Japanese karaage chicken and curry -- could have used a little more curry, but still really tasty. But I'm being picky -- yeah -- you can find better examples, but this places is a little treasure trove of interesting food. However, I went back and had the birria style Korean tacos. They were pretty excellent, and as much as I love Mexican birria, this was a remarkable twist on it. That alone gives me a reason to dish out five stars. Service is quick, and friendly.

The meal was truly fantastic. My father and I were in town for a concert and while walking along Dundas we stumbled across this unassuming little shop. We got the Whitefish Katsu and Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bento, both of which were to die for. We were left wanting more when our takeout dishes were emptied. Service was also very very quick, so if you are in a rush not to worry! Highly recommend for anyone and everyone.

I’m so sad that I’ve been sleeping on this place for so long! I must have walked by hundreds of times but I’ve just never noticed it! Lots of people were coming in and out so I decided to give it a shot. I got the white fish sandwich, kimchi, and fish cakes. All were delicious and so reasonably priced! The fish sandwich isn’t overly breaded so you don’t feel like you’re just eating fried batter. The buns are soft and buttered perfectly. The tartar sauce compliments the white fish really well. I enjoyed the crunchiness of the kimchi, although I do wish it was spicy. I will definitely be back.

If Google allowed for half stars, this would be a 4.5. My white katsu bento was a good, hearty meal but the fish itself was slightly overcooked. I liked the kimchi and veggies sides but the lack of crispiness of the fish batter was rather disappointing. I much preferred the beef tacos. The tacos didn't look appealing AT ALL, but the beef gravy added so much flavour! I was pleasantly surprised by how filling and delicious those 3 tacos were. The curry fries were supposed to be crinkle cut fries but they were waffle fries. I know they're both fried potatoes, but I feel like they're so texturally different that they're not the same. The waffle fries were slightly burned and there wasn't enough curry or cheese. I was honestly expecting a much stronger curry hit. Overall, bomb tacos but there's room for improvement in attention to detail and the frying techniques.
