I wanted to try the lunch menu so I called the day before to make sure it was available during the holiday season. The server told me that Dec 23rd was a regular weekday and lunch would be available. However, I went today only to be informed that they cancelled the lunch menu this very morning. It's unprofessional to change your policy so last minute without any notice. I ended up leaving because I found it unacceptable. However, the waiter was very nice and understanding, he even apologized to us multiple times. Do yourself a favor and call "on" the day you plan to go to make sure whatever you want is available.

Not recommended, don’t trust 5-star paid reviews 😑😑😑 First of all, the place was very understaffed on a Friday night. Had to wait at least 5-10 minutes every time to refill my drink or order anything. They also forgot to put my order when I clearly told them. The staff looked unprofessional and somewhat annoyed. Secondly, the options at the sauce bar were very limited, so I couldn’t make the sauce I wanted. Also, there was a limit on ordering beef, which was not mentioned on the menu or communicated by the server beforehand. If you want to order more beef, the limit is two servings, and you have to finish them before ordering more. Lastly, the food especially the meats and vegetables wasn’t very fresh. I’ve been to many hot pot/sukiyaki places in the GTA, and this place was the worst. Not recommended at all

Warning! Whoever go for lunch specials that promoting, don’t go on Friday. Food was fantastic, place was awesome but when try to pay the bill, they told me today is weekend so we charge weekend price which today is Friday! I’ve been many restaurants and KNOWS what is WEEK DAY AND WEEKEND. but they tell me here our restaurant is Monday to Thursday is week day Friday to Sunday is weekend. So I’ve got no choice to pay WEEKEND PRICE which Today is FRIDAY. If customer don’t want to complain about this, should write MONDAY- Thursday Lunch special is this price and FRIDAY-Sunday is this price. Should be Clear! (Which still not making sense for me) feel exiting to went there but now disappointment and felt scam. I will not go here anymore. By the way server was nice. Just restaurants policy isn’t right.

Our first hot pot experience was memorable, thanks to the exceptional service from our attentive and sweet server, Benita. She ensured our waters were topped up, napkins replenished, and trays swiftly cleared, making the limited counter space manageable. The sauce station was a standout feature, allowing us to craft a spicy and sweet soy sauce blend and a sweet sesame sauce that elevated the flavors of our meats. We ordered from the Haru Menu and selected two soup bases: Sukiyaki and Spicy. In hindsight, sticking with the Sukiyaki alone would have been preferable, as the Spicy soup's heat overwhelmed the flavor profile. Sauces offer ample opportunity to add spice without losing complexity. Our favorites among the proteins were the prime beef, pork belly, and sirloin, while the beef chunk and shrimp—though large and flavorful—were less to our taste due to the shrimp's shell-on preparation, making it cumbersome to eat. The snakehead fish had a delightful buttery flavor, leaving us eager to explore more of the menu next time, especially the appetizers. For vegetables, we enjoyed the enoki mushrooms, black fungus, and crispy tofu skin rolls. The meal was accompanied by lemon and lime iced tea, a bowl of steamed rice, and concluded with creamy soft-serve ice cream—a perfect ending. For sauces, we recommend: Secret Sauce: One scoop sesame, a small spoonful of sesame oil, optional chili peppers, a scoop of cilantro, green onions, sesame seeds, and a finish of brown sugar syrup. Sweet and Chili Sauce: One scoop each of soy and ponzu sauce, cilantro, garlic, green onions, chili peppers, a small amount of sesame oil, and a generous drizzle of brown sugar. Highly recommended for a flavorful and immersive hot pot experience!

I had a very good experience here! The staff were super nice and they highly recommended the sukiyaki and pumpkin soup bases (with a slight kick). The pumpkin soup base was seriously amazing—rich, smooth, and naturally sweet. It worked perfectly with all the ingredients. The beef and all the food were so good and fresh. It was so delicious.

Theres finally another hotpot (shabu shabu) place in town! The menu was simple but the fact that you can get sukiyaki broth here is definitely a plus. It's attached next to Shinta so they also offer Wagyu beef slices a la carte. The meat they offer was definitely great cuts. Great date location. The staff was also very nice and attentive. Would definitely go again.
