Harry’s Steak House

Harry’s Steak House offers a classic steakhouse experience, but it didn’t quite stand out compared to some of the other options in Toronto. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and a traditional décor that sets the mood for a nice evening out. The menu features all the steakhouse staples, and we decided to go with the ribeye, cooked rare and the bone-in stripling medium rare. While the steak was flavorful and had a nice char, it wasn’t as tender as I had hoped for the price. The accompanying sides—mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables—were decent but didn’t leave a lasting impression. We also tried the shrimp cocktail to start, which was fresh but lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. The Caesar salad was a bit overdressed, though the croutons were nicely crunchy. Service was efficient, but it lacked the warmth or attentiveness you’d hope for in a steakhouse of this caliber. The staff got the job done, but there wasn’t much effort to elevate the dining experience beyond the basics. For dessert, we opted for a variety of their offerings, which were decent but nothing out of the ordinary. Harry’s Steak House is a solid option if you’re in the area and craving a steak, but it doesn’t quite justify the premium price tag. It’s fine for a casual night out, but I’d explore other steakhouses in the city for a more memorable experience. Rating: 2.5/5

Outstanding food and service at Harry’s. I would highly recommend it. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. I loved the cozy old school steakhouse atmosphere.

I’ll start with the steak. Mine was outstanding - maybe one of the best I’ve ever had in the city. So, thank you for the great Birthday steak. And by all accounts, the other steaks at the table were also very good. Caesar salad and the French onion soup, also great. Baked potato was meh - your typical steakhouse tater - they can do better, but don’t try. That said, the service here is old fashioned, stodgy, unfriendly, and abrupt. Ruined an otherwise delightful time with friends and family. After our two hours were up, they virtually hoisted us from our seats and pretty much pointed to the door, even though the terrace was empty. What a rotten way to spoil my birthday dinner - you truly are ruiners. And as for the dinner service, shocked to see how the wait staff catered to the men (which I am one) and made the women feel like second-class citizens, especially the one picking up the entire tab. Shocking!! So, overall, super disappointed considering I’d been pining to go to Harry’s for some time now. Recommended — if you love a great steak and are ok with mediocre service, and are also ok to be rushed out of the joint.

This placed easily served one of the best Filet Mignons I ever had. The peppercorn sauce was delicious it had just enough kick and complimented the steak perfectly. These are the type of meals I love waking up for 👍🏾 #Outstanding Their NY Style Cheesecake was Very Good as well

Went on a Friday night. The place is nice, different vibe but pleasant. We had the rib steak and New York strip with fries and mash potatoes. And got the Caesar Salad and French onion soup. Food was great but the service was lacking. Would comeback again.

My favourite new steak house. Came here for a celebration dinner with family and we were blown away with the service and amazing food. There was a mistake on our bill that we didn’t notice until a few days later and after calling them they were so accommodating with fixing the error. Really appreciated it! Looking forward to going back.

We had a beautiful dinner at Harry’s steakhouse for our wedding anniversary. The service is top notch, very attentive with great recommendations. The food was delicious - we had oysters, bone marrow and steak (all of which were delicious). The ambiance is super cool and cozy. We made a reservation but the restaurant wasn’t overly busy earlier on a Friday evening. The only downside is that it is very pricey, so best for a special occasion.

Pretty cool vibes here, especially the liquor neon sign and the grill which is basically like a buddies backyard grill as you pass it to get to your table. Steaks themselves were a great selection and provided quality taste, presentation etc. Great steaks! Loved the simplicity of the menu as well as the strong drinks! Well done.
