Before anyone complains about the 4 star, I'm going to rate this for what it unapologetically is, not for what it isn't. It's not a standard chain or Gastropub and doesn't try to be. It is a dive bar, plain and simple. That said, the beer was standard, the bartender was friendly, the pool table was free, and (most of) the regulars were hilariously friendly. Don't go here thinking you'll get top notch service and you'll have a good time.

I like this small pub. Great place for an Amber Lager Pint ($5.50) and a nice homely Cafe meal. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and asked for an egg on top .... and that's what I got. Hit the spot! Maggie is super friendly. There is a jukebox and pool table. Great value for the Danforth. Not fancy, not a dive, just cosy and informal. Not to everyone's taste, but I'm glad to be a patron. Edit. Added a pic from the outdoor tables on a gorgeous sunny day.

This place has nice people as long as you are not disruptive or disrespectful. Have fun playing pool with a drink. They serve the best wontons so definitely order those. Nice Chinese people for sure.

Surprised to find mini wontons and fried dumplings here! Good price for a quick snack!

I have been a customer there for over 12 years. Before the present owners it had a very bad reputation. They totally cleared out the troublesome clientele. The décor could use some improvement however it is clean bathrooms very clean also old. If you like people it is easy to make conversation with most of the people. Free pool always, chess and some other games available on request.$5. bottled beer, $5. shots. No riff raft Etc. Blue and white collar some student's. I suggest try it out.

Have visited this bar a handful of times with usually just one friend. Always were respectful and just played pool and songs on the jukebox and got drinks. Friend from out of town was in the area and wanted to check out some good bars in the area. First place I decided to bring him was happy days as I always enjoyed this bar. However, when I brought my friend in to the bar immediately the owner said "I no serve you" and "Leave my bar." Maybe it's because he is 60+ years of age and is confusing me with someone else but regardless when I explained to him I've never done him wrong and wanted to show my friend his bar and bring him business he kept refusing me and my friend service. Mind you we had no drinks before arriving and were completely respectful. The fact that the owner would kick us out immediately for absolutely no reason and even when I tried to reason and find out why he was kicking us out upon arrival is upsetting and extremely bad business practice. I will no longer be giving my business here and recommend everyone else do the same cause you could walk in there and be denied service and kicked out for absolutely no reason.

FREE POOL with the purchase of 1 drink. It's free all night every night!!! $5.50 for a mixed drink. Primo booze. Great place to just chill, drink, play the jukebox too!
