I’ve been coming here for years (pre-pandemic) and never realized I never left a review. 😅 What we like about this place is their consistency in quality. The congee is not too watery and not too thick. Service as fast and the fried dough sticks and other deep fried goods are always fresh because they sell so much of them so they’re constantly making more. Prices have gone up from when we first came here, sure, but so have many other congee places. This is still our favorite place for congee.

Purposely I drove and try this take out place because of great word of mouth. I ordered pork liver congee, congee base is great, but the pork liver was already blanched, so it is not in soft texture. In my opinion, was disappointing to me. The fried dough lived up to their reputation, there is not many places producing 牛脷酥 fresh. I can tell, the owner puts in much efforts in this place. Kudos to their entrepreneurship. The seating location must be managed better by the mall management, the recycling boxes are all scattered in the food consumption area, it is a health and fire risks.

Great price and friendly owners. A little bit heavy on carb side of things, so you need to order more or extra meat to balance things out. Service is great and easy to order takeout.

This congee and rice rolls is inside a grocery supermarket that use to be T&T Supermarket. Parking is plentiful and lots of tables if you want dine-in. Kinda cheap compare to others. I had beef congee and dough fritters for $8.50 with tax. Congee had lots of garlic and has peanuts. I enjoyed the meal. Worth a try!!!

This is in a food court inside a grocery store and the fried dough 油条is freshly made and very crispy and delicious 😋 they had diff breakfast combos to order from and because we had it on a rainy day, the congee felt extremely comforting. I will say that ordering and waiting to be called when the food is ready is quite chaotic and it may be difficult for a non Chinese speaking customer.

I decided to check out Happy Congee, a cafeteria-style restaurant. I ordered a variety of items: Crueller with bean sauce, dough stick, sesame ball, fried noodle, radish cake, dough stick in rice noodle roll, plain rice noodle roll, beef in rice noodle roll, spicy tofu, assorted congee, and fish slice and preserved egg congee. All the fried items and rice rolls were fresh from the oil. The radish cake was a bit bland, but overall, it was a decent amount of food for the price. Overall Food : 8/10 Service : 8/10 Price : 8/10

I regularly come here for my fried dough sticks and fritters, and occasionally the steamed rice rolls. They're fairly consistent and fresh but their dough stick 油條 lacks some finesse that good traditional ones should have. The chef is constantly using chopsticks to spread them apart so the finished product can come out in ugly twisted shapes. It is sometimes overly doughy and dense. Pro tip: they get quite busy so you can call in your order to be picked up. They usually pack the fried dough sticks fresh once you arrive so it doesn't steam in the bag.

Talk about price hike. This one takes the cake. The fried dough increase again and is now $2.80 each. There is one other cheaper and as good at Chartwell Mall.
