Love their bento! I've tried the Sake Don and Salmon Bento, and both of them are really good, not the best, but still top tier. Definitely 8/10 and 8.5/10 respectively. It's definitely worth trying. The sides in the bento is delicious, and the salmon is really fresh! However, the taste is pretty mid in my opinion. The place is a nice japanese/korean market, with a tiny table area. Most people do take outs, so it doesn't really matter. The prices of the items are somewhat expensive, but to be fair, they're the only asian market around the area.

My go to place for Bento! This place is super cute and staff is great. You can tell they use quality produce and ingredient in both their sushi and bento. The food is always great and portions are generous. My personal favourite after trying all the bento’s and most rolls is the bulgogi bento. Pure comfort food. If you’re looking for a quick snack the onigiri is my favorite in the area. You can’t really go wrong with anything which is why I love this place so much.

This is such a lovely market. It has Japanese and Korean packaged and frozen food. Such a delight to see some items not commonly found in Canada. There's also a variety of vegetarian options to choose from, within the store and from the restaurant. I had the vegetarian bento and the veggie special roll and both were delicious. If you are vegetarian or vegan you will have to avoid the miso soup, as it has fish stock. There's two seats at the back where you can sit and face the street, however as this is a market, most food is takeout. But you can enjoy the food outside on a nice day!

The bentos are good, but definitely, absolutely have to come here for the sushi. All Salmon Maki Platter - Must get, presentation of the maki rolls are goregeous, I've never been so titillated by looking at sushi rolls before, the fresh salmon glistening in the light. Each bite is filled with fresh ingredients and packed. The torching the salmon also brings out so many smoky and charred aromas, while not being overpowering and is paired with a slightly acidic and sweet sushi rice with a perfect, slightly chewy texture. The texture of the tempura shrimp, the creaminess of the avocado, and the crunch of the cucumbers further elevate this dish. Salmon Bento - A flaky and beautifully cooked salmon with a umami-filled miso glaze. Included are daily side dishes and miso soup, and a store full of all the Asian snacks that you can dream of! Hanamaru Market is a Japanese and Korean grocery store who also serves food on the side. You can call by ordering ahead or by walking up and ordering while onsite. The Dynamite roll and the vegetarian Gyoza dumplings are delicious. I’m a repeat customer and definitely recommend this place.

Such a great experience here! We got the beef bulgogi bento and one of their specials - both were so delicious! Great mix of flavour and variety of toppings. They were out of rolls when we went but will certainly be returning to try! The market component is a great addition, so many great products. Would highly recommend a visit!

I'm not usually one to post about food I get delivered to my house. I usually find that delivered food isn't the best reflection on a business or restaurant. This place is one of those rare exceptions. I didn't realize I had ordered from a convenience store until after I had put my order into Uber Eats. Let me tell you - the quality and taste of their food rivals some of the better-rated restaurants found on the app. I ordered a veg bento and spicy salmon roll. Both were delicious and fresh. You can really tell they put a lot of care into their food by the way it looks and tastes. I also loved the small touches like the cute sticker on the lid. This place is making it into my regular rotation of delivery food, and when I'm in their neighbourhood, will definitely be stopping by. Overall, a great place with great food made with great care.

Cute little shop for Japanese and Korean snacks and pantry and frozen items. Fridge stocked with fresh made sushi and onigiri (all amazing, but they sell out fast!). They have a kitchen that makes hot food, which takes about 15-20 min depending on your order. The Bento boxes are made with so much care and love, and are a joy to eat! Highly recommend to try the chicken karaage. Staff are amazing. Keep up the good work!
