Our first visit here — and total WOW! Where to start!? ✅ Excellent air circulation — for a fish & chip restaurant, this is amazing! ✅ Pristinely clean — floors, tables, seating ✅ Immaculate washrooms ✅ Refreshing decor | decent lighting ✅ Very well-organized traffic flow It’s busy — both take-out & eat-in ✅ It’s a happening place 👍 Great sign ✅ Comfortable seating options ✅ Outstanding professional service Special shout out to Sophie & David ✅ Delish food — Halibut was super fresh & clean-tasting — light batter & cooked in fresh oil ✅ Great variety of healthier food options across the menu — salads & not all deep-fried fish offerings ✅ Reasonably priced This restaurant is a great catch! 🎣 ♥️

I loved my fried halibut fish & chips and my wife had grilled halibut and chips the portion was ok for seniors but I'm sure younger people will not be satisfying enough but the chips was ok . It was good and will go again

We had a nice Friday evening dinner here. The food is very tasty and fresh. Its quite a busy place but not sure if they take reservations. Helena was our smiling server and she was very helpful, answering questions and suggesting menu choices.

The food was great and the temperature is right. But I do have a major complain about the prices of the meals especially when you substitute the fries for a salad and you're being charged an extra $2 and then when you ask for oil as a dressing for the salad you get charged another $2. This is wrong! On 30 September 2024 I went with my mom to 1510 Dundas Street East in Mississauga and I ordered two Haddock specials for $12.99. When I asked for a salad to substitute the fries, I did not know that you had to pay extra. What is worse is that they charge you $2 extra on top of the $12.99 basically the plate is costing you $15 which means the fish is about $7 and the salad $8. If they're going to do this then I should also get fries and the coleslaw because salad should not cost more than the original platter. When I received the receipt with the two extra charges of garden salad and oil, I had to complain because there's no way I was going to pay an extra $4. In the end these extra charges were removed my bill. What I don't know is if all locations do the same thing. If they keep doing this they're going to lose customers and so far I'm going to think twice before I go to that location again.

Dine in or take out! I ordered the Haddock & Chips, took maybe about 5-10 minutes to prepare and it was delicious. Dine in was busy, so you can tell the service and food are worth it. The batter on the haddock wasn't too thick and the size of the fish was huge! Definitely couldn't finish the whole meal but worth the $22. Haddock & Chips, a small gravy & a can of pop.

Ordered the Haddock here and it was nice and fluffy but we all found it very oily. The price at this location is heftier than the other locations: $16 here vs. the $12.99 regular price at the other two locations. I was served a lot of fries. There could have been a bigger serving of onion rings; but they were good. The Cesar salad was also good. I would probably wait until the Monday or Sunday special when they offer the $12.99 Haddock Special. #halibuthouse #fishandchips #fish #friedfoods #deepfried #mississauga

I can't sing the praises of how nice and fast the staff were. Helpful, tried their best to make my experience better and the kitchen was fast, didn't wait long but the food was essentially not edible. The halibut was like a wet sponge and tasted like fishy water almost like it was frozen and so flat that it looked like it was kept in a wallet. It was not flakey in the slightest, it filled apart with the shape of my fork and cooked with so much oil left in it that three bites was enough to send me packing. Fries were good! Mushrooms were bland, fried expertly! But lacked any flavour whatsoever even with the dip. Pretty sure the starter sauce was just straight mayo, had zero other flavour in it. Prices weren't horrible 20 bucks for an entre. They tried to make it right with free dessert but I politely declined as I was done with the place and wanted real food. Oh, coleslaw was ok! Not mayo based which is the best in my opinion, good crunch, not too much vinegar.

My family would stop at Halibut House in Lindsay whenever we were in that region. This location in Mississauga is remarkably similar. Staff was attentive and friendly. Best thing on my plate was the breaded shrimp, but the haddock was really good too.
