Halibut House Fish and Chips Inc.

Service here was mediocre at best. We were seated in plenty of time but waited a bit to be served. Got our meals fine but the waiter didn’t come even to come back to see how everything was. Our water ran out and the ketchup bottle had a clog so when we went to use it spilled all over. We needed more napkins but no server in site. The waiter was more concerned with the table beside us as it was a party of 12. We paid our bill with cash and he just assumed that the remainder was for him. I’ve been to other Halibut Houses and will not return to this one.

Good chain restaurant. I went in for a late breakfast but had the fish sandwich and onion rings for $14. It was pretty good, not too much batter or greasy.

This place is pretty impressive. The food is prepared better than most breakfast places The price was very reasonable. The service is excellent and the place is so clean I couldn't even believe it. I am usually complaining about the washrooms. Restaurant washrooms are never clean, unless it's a high end place. But I was impressed. We will.100% return. I cant wait to try the fish and chips. I hope it tastes just as good.

Super clean place albeit empty for dinner time on a Thursday which was a bit surprising. The lady who helped us was super nice. We got two orders of halibut Fish and Chips. Decent size portions buuuuut.... Batter was soft and mushy, could barely break it with a fork! You had to fight with it! Fries were good but a few under done ones. $47 for the lot, I expected something more traditional and classic tasting. Might try it again down the road but will definitely tell them to make sure that the batter is a bit more golden brown and not yellowish beige.

Not sure if there are other servers at this Kingston Rd location, but on each visit, there’s always this one guy doing all the running. He gives good service and does his best! Service is quick and their big portions of Haddock with Sweet Potato Fries and Coleslaw makes it outstanding! The ambience is spacious and clean. It is a short walking distance from a parish for a Sunday lunch.

A bright clean fish & chip joint, also serves an extensive menu of breakfast too, reasonable priced with large servings, serving all the variety of fried fish & seafood, halibut, haddock, cod, shrimp, scallop, etc., light & crispy batter with nice moist fish inside, efficient service with helpful staff.

Visited location on a Friday evening. The location was fairly empty. We ordered the seafood platter with haddock, shrimp, and scallop. We added on a Greek salad as well. The food was hot and fresh and was a large portion. The fish was pretty good, not too greasy. The service was good and I would come back again.

My family and I really enjoyed the Haddock special they have Monday nights. $11 bucks! Don’t expect it to be a thick and “meaty” as you’d like. Given the cheap price, just expect a thin piece that tastes delicious and enjoy. I always find the oil really fresh at this location too, but best to dine in.
