Halibut House Fish & Chips, Homestyle Breakfast

I had a wonderful time at Halibut House. The portions were big and the food was delicious. Fish was crispy and fries were fresh.

Great place for fish and chips as well as other sea food delights. They do a brisk takeaway business and it's not hard to understand why. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Prompt service. They have breakfasts too until 4pm. Everything is good value for the money.

I stopped by this restaurant a few times. Halibut and Cod are great. I like grilled salmon the best. The fries are always hot, crispy and fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. I plan to come back for breakfast.

I love the full menu and the home style dishes that come with plenty of grub to satisfy the hungriest folks. I wasn't hungry and opted for a BLT and salad. The food came quick and served perfectly warm. Usually the bacon come cold, but it was obvious that this spot cooked the meat for me on the spot. Would recommend if looking for a home style meal, lots of options. Breakfast looked great as well.

Sunday specials had halibut one with sweet potato fries, other regular fries , filling , ordered raspberry cheesecake to go, Rico 🇧🇷 waiter was great, ample parking

This is a Canadian company with over 43 stores in 35 cities. FABIO was our waiter at the Lakeshore location. He is friendly, efficient, and very helpful. It was not busy at the time we went in, so the wait was not long at all. I was pleasantly full, satisfied and my halibut meal was delish. The hand cut fries were crispy, and the fish batter was very light and crisp as well. It hit the spot. The establishment is bright, clean, and airy. You have to try it if you are a fish lover, you won't be disappointed.

It was okay. Pretty generic. Disappointing when you ask for your fries well done and they don't come that way. Fries actually didn't have very much flavor on their own if I'm honest. Fish was decent (haddock) but not particularly inspiring. The shrimp are quite good, much better than the scallops. All in all, pretty generic run of the mill spot. I think I would choose kitchen off six for better fish and chips, especially when you compare the fries.
