Hakka Ren - Hurontario

Please avoid at all costs and go to chilli chicken house instead. Don’t waste your money trust me This restaurant used to be good until it’s not anymore. The food is garbage. The service is even worse. The chilli chicken was watery with full of batter and hardly any chicken. The beef Manchurian was the same as well. The noodles had barely any flava as you can see absolutely no sauce. Chilli chicken house remains the number one spot. Also note that the takeout containers that they use is cancerous and of the cheapest possible quality. It is not four grade and it has harmful chemicals with hot food stored in it.

If you are expecting service then you should never visit this restaurant. I ordered a pick up and the soup containers melted with heat by the came I reached home in about 10 mins. When you call them then there is no apology but a question mark about my driving style. Must say they are very well trained how to annoy the customer. This restaurant is completely against Canadian values and should be avoided at all cost. Kudos to the management for running such a place.

I came in for dinner. Was very disappointed to have two dishes that weren’t made well. I asked for the manager or something to do for the dishes. Either to remake them or ask the chef to look them over. They said no. When I asked for a manger they said no then finally called their manager and the manager said if we don’t pay they have to call the cops. We had two bites of the food. It was not good. Barely touched it. We had to pay and will never come back

This place does not accept credit cards and requires cash payments only. As travelers seeking a decent place for lunch, we were caught in a heavy rainstorm and were not granted any exceptions. We had to walk through the downpour to withdraw cash from a TD Bank to pay for our meal. While the food was good and the server was kind, the inconvenience we experienced made this visit memorable, but not in a positive way.

Had a craving for Hakka and used the search ‘Hakka near me’ and Hakka Ren didn’t disappoint. Great hot and sour soup to start with a chili chicken + fried rice (my go to) great friendly service and lunch special + a drink was under $20 before tip. Will definitely visit again.

The House Special Noodles were amazing ! Also got the Manchurian chicken - non battered. It was a 7/ 10. Overall, decent experience.

As a seasoned food critic, I must say Hakka Ren truly impressed me. From the moment we stepped in our server Roshni's warm welcome set the tone for a delightful dining experience. Her attentive service and thorough explanations of the dishes added a personal touch to our evening. Now, let's talk about the food. The hot and sour soup was a revelation - a perfect symphony of flavors that truly hit the spot. However, the real stars of the show were the crispy beef and ginger chicken. Unquestionably the best I've tasted in the GTA among all Hakka Chinese restaurants. Hakka Ren earns a solid 5/5 from me across the board. Their hospitality, food quality, service, ambiance, and value for money are all top-notch. If you're craving authentic Hakka cuisine served with excellence, look no further than Hakka Ren. Highly recommended!
