This place has become a new favorite for takeout, owner is very friendly, food is great and price is reasonable, all things not so common anymore it seems. Glad we discovered them, love the Manchurian chicken fried rice and the Bombay chicken is awesome! Highly recommend!

Authentic Indian Hakka Chinese cuisine, tried Veg Manchurian noodles and Veg Manchurian balls and it was mind blowing! Must visit and Mr Tony did a great job in serving and managing us.

Just one thing, price always mismatch. However, pocket friendly place with quite similar taste of indo-chinese restaurants of India. Believe me, food is very delicious. I have just issue with price of menue and bill. They never match.

Really good prices, fast service and tasty food. The Bombay chicken was spicy and crispy, and the fried rice had a really good smoky flavor. Wok hei 10/10 🔥

Owner was very friendly and did his best to offer top service while the restaurant was nearing closing time and still quite busy. The food was all freshly made and delicious, this is a place that takes the time to put love into the food, something I find has been lost at many of the hakka restaurants in the city these days. The Bombay fish was delicious, as was the deep fried squid, both were cooked to perfection. The hot and sour soup was made with fresh ingredients and it wasn't the same run of the mill soup you get at most places. Overall I was very impressed with the food and the service but the best part was the fact that the prices were better than any other place I have found in the GTA. Great food at a very reasonable price.

Hakka cottage is easily my favourite restaurant for Hakka food. My partner and I frequently get their lunch special during the weekdays and are obsessed with their dry chili chicken. It is absolute perfection. I recently got a large catering order for 30 people yesterday for my birthday party and the food was incredible! All of my friends absolutely loved the food and commented on how delicious and fresh everything was. The prices are extremely reasonable too and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the dry chili chicken, dragon shrimp (so good), vegetable pakora, chicken wings (so fresh and crispy), vegetable fried rice and the hakka noodles! The catering sizes were huge and we had plenty of leftovers for my friends to take home. The owner of Hakka Cottage is such a kind and thoughtful man and he gave us recommendations for our order. Would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely continue to be a frequent customer here :)

Amazing Hakka food. We ordered for pick up, phone call was quickly answered, we ordered, we were told 20 minutes. Food was ready on time, already packaged! We got the Manchurian chicken fried rice, Bombay chicken, and Chili beef with gravy and everything was 10/10. The Bombay chicken has a nice little crisp to it and a lovely kick. The rice was fantastic too! My partner loved the beef as well! Would definitely recommend!

First time visiting this Hakka Restaurant. Place is like a hidden gem in Scarborough for sure. Staff was super friendly, not sure if he was the owner but he was s polite and welcoming, went out of his way to make the experience great. Portion sizes for all items for were great. 5 items were more than enough for 5 people. Honey Garlic chicken was really good. Prices are reasonable and this is a much more affordable and tastier Hakka option than many others in Scarborough. Will definitely be coming back.
