I visited this new Chinese restaurant where you buy raw food and a soup base, then cook it yourself. I chose the tom yum soup base, which was absolutely delicious. I loved the scallops and frog legs the most, but all the food was fresh and tasty. The whole experience was super fun and something unusual to try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

If you visit Haidilao, I highly recommend trying the dancing noodles. These hand-pulled noodles are wonderfully chewy and have just the right thickness, making them perfect to enjoy. When we visited as a group of four, we ordered the four-compartment hot pot with Medium Spicy, Mild Chicken Broth, Tom Yum, and plain water. Personally, the Spicy Broth was too hot for me, so I rinsed my food in the hot water before eating. The most delicious broth, in my opinion, was the Tom Yum. Anything with shrimp on the menu was excellent, and even the beef we ordered, though not the most expensive option, was quite satisfying. A delightful touch at the end was the complimentary ice cream for dessert. Additionally, they offer a 30% discount on birthdays.

I've eaten hot pot many times but Haidilao was absolutely incredible. I went after 9pm to get the marbled beef for $4 per portion which might be one of the best deals i've encountered. I ordered with mushrooms, rice, tom yum soup and pork bone soup. Also the service was the best. All the servers were so nice coming often to ask how we are and fill our water and hang out jackets as well. Overall I recommend going here to anyone it's amazing food amazing service and a great social event to enjoy with your friends!

Not really a hotpot guy, but went with fam for a birthday celebration and genuinely had a good experience. Our server was pretty much helping us and the tables near us from start to finish. The quality of the ingredients were great and the broths tasted good even on their own. We ordered the dancing noodles and I appreciate the performance, but the noodles themselves were just okay I’d say and not really worth getting in my opinion for the portion size and taste but more for the performance. It’s a fun dining experience, and wouldn’t mind trying it out again.

We had a fantastic time at Haidilao in downtown Toronto. This is the second time I have dined inside this location and the service is overall consistent. This is a very busy location especially in the evening so even if you make reservations, there might be a bit of waiting time for your table. You can select a few soup bases and customize your own dipping sauce at their dipping sauce bar. The dipping sauce bar has instructions of popular dipping sauces you can follow or you can get creative and make your own sauce. Of their soup bases, the tomato one is my favourite. They even prep a beginning tomato based soup for you and it was so delicious and flavourful. Ingredients are fresh and there is a wide selection that you can choose from on their menu and order yourself on their iPad. There are two seated floors with the washroom (very clean) on the lower level. They have both stairs and an elevator inside the restaurant. They even provide you with an apron so you don't get your clothes dirty when eating. If you are looking for an experience, you can request for their noodle dance where their team will perform a fun dance show before they cook/serve hand pulled noodles to you. All the other ingredients are self cook/serve. All tables inside here are very close to one another so it can get a bit loud inside. Dessert is included and it's usually vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream.

Haidiao is easily the best place ever. The soup broths were out of this world and exploding with flavour. Lots of main dishes to choose from. The cost adds up quick once you start selecting your dishes but it is so worth it. Make sure you make a reservation if you are going during peak times. The service is also incredible. Everybody is super friendly and helpful. They will guide you on how to order if you have never been before. For that extra dining experience, they have a bar to build your dipping sauce.

Food was very fresh. However, the service wasn’t like how we expected. We made a birthday reservation for my friend (group of 6). We were greeted and seated in a VIP room but it was kinda late so the sauce station was about to close. Me personally, I fully expected there to be a birthday special (they did offer us a discount), like a cake or a song for my friend but we didn’t get to experience that. Regarding service, there was not much to say. Overall, the food was fresh and the broth was really warming, but we really didn’t get the service we had expected for.
