First time here (finally) - overall great experience! All the servers were kind and attentive. They never really let any of your glasses get empty. A few of the items were on sale so that's always nice to see. Monique cashed us out and we mentioned that it was our first time here - so she gave us a quick rundown of things that they offer and she also surprised us with two toys! Great experience overall - nothing to complain about

What a delicious experience and for such a busy place (North America’s largest Haidilao by seating), really excellent and attentive service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, welcome, and a terrific birthday experience. Makes sense why these guys have a 4.9 - even was treated to a hand massage, free ice cream, and birthday gift - wow!

My family has eaten here 2 times in the past month and we loved it both times! The staff is amazing -- so warm and friendly. The food comes out really quickly and is delicious. We especially love the Laksa soup base, fine marbled beef and lamb slices. Another highlight is the deep fried buns that we dip into sweetened condensed milk -- very tasty! We saw the face change dance and a hand-pulled noodle demonstration. It's a very cute and lively atmosphere. On our most recent visit (Sunday), our server was Li Junjuan and she's the best! She really made our meal special and was very attentive. Overall, I highly recommend this hot pot restaurant and my family will definitely come back again.

I went to Haidilao for a birthday dinner, and it turned out to be a pretty great experience! We chose the quarter-pot, which had us to pick four soup bases: Tomato Soup, Mushroom, Pork Bone, and Beef Tallow. A thoughtful touch was the server preparing a small celery and tomato soup while we were deciding. (Only available if you choose Tomato Soup Base) All the soups were familiar to me, but the Beef Tallow stood out for its bold, beefy flavor and a surprisingly spicy kick that was very enjoyable. The quality of the food was consistently excellent, as expected. What really sets Haidilao apart, though, is its quirky service and unique features. The birthday celebration was so much fun and truly memorable. The hand-pulled noodle show was entertaining, and the small appetizers and snacks offered while waiting in line added a special charm. One thing to note is that, unlike some other hotpot chains such as Toronto-based Liuyishou, Haidilao does not automatically provide separate utensils for handling raw ingredients unless requested. While this could be seen as a cultural difference, it might be a thoughtful improvement for Haidilao to consider providing these by default. This would better cater to those who are conscious about hygiene and prefer avoiding cross-contamination during their meal. The service was exceptional as always, with attentive and friendly staff making sure everything was just right. It is hard to find anything to complain about here, even if you tried. Haidilao excels at delivering a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

The food was delicious and the service went above and beyond our expectations. This was our first time trying hot pot and the servers were so patient and helpful. If I was taking friends from out of town somewhere in Scarborough this would be the place. We got the laksa and tomato soup bases. Both were very flavourful and the servers continuously top up the broths as you cook and eat. The veggies and seafood tasted very fresh. I would recommend the cuttlefish. Also we came on a Saturday at lunch and there was so much entertainment happening - a costumed dancer, someone hand pulling noodles, an award presentation? I don’t know if it’s always like this or if it was an occasion but we loved the atmosphere.

Great hotpot franchise restaurant with excellent customer service. They take time to explain the menu, and are very friendly. They also allow leftovers to be taken away and don't charge extra for containers and bags. Food tastes great, and the snack section offers a decent amount of selection of sauces and fruits. Come here when they have the weekday promotions for the best deal. The restaurant is very clean and modern, washrooms have toothpicks and mouthwash. I will return.

From the moment you enter, you are greeted enthusiastically by the workers. There’s usually a wait, but they offer tea/water. It feels like a different world when you enter, with amazing service throughout the meal. The sauce bar comes with many options, fruits, and other snacks. The soup bases are flavorful and the meats are high quality. This is a great place to try hot pot!
