Fantastic spot for katsu downtown. Their curry is rich and authentic, katsu is crispy and fresh every-time. Service is fast and consistent. All their servers really exemplify Japanese hospitality, they all are extremely nice and friendly. Quick take out or chill dine-in options are both solid. Must visit if downtown I’ve been going here for at least 3 years now and it’s stayed fantastic since day one!

💯Downtown Cheap Eats~ GYUGYUYA 🥘Check out the First Japanese curry spot in downtown Toronto (near Dundas Station)! Their Japanese curry was probably the most authentic I’ve tried in the city. It’s not very spicy, but it’s thick and savory with earthy flavors. ⭐️recommend karaage curry🍛and their fried oysters What we tried: 1. Karage Curry 2. Yasai Curry 3. Gyu Cheese Curry 4. Ton Katsu 5. Kakihurai – crispy fried oysters 🍔 Yelp Elite 2️⃣ 📍 Google lv 8️⃣ local guide 👯‍♀️ Pm for collab

Food : I was reading about the style of curry while having it. It is a curry specific to Kanazawa region and is known for its thickness and rich taste. Personally I found the taste underwhelming. The rice is too heavy and makes the portions feel larger than they are. Katsu was good but nothing to write home about. Service : Exceptional. Atmosphere : Normal. I did enjoy the cold lemon water in the cute steel cups though, if you're a water person. Chicken katsu curry comes to about $20.

Came here after seeing the hype online and it did not disappoint! The curry was great! Everything was very fresh and the chicken was good to perfection. Laid back atmosphere but very good quick service!! Its not a lot to say other than you gotta come here and at least try the japanese curry!!

Don't let the decor turn you off. This is a surprisingly nice place. The food is good, and the price is okay, but the servers are great.

Serves decent Japanese quick service food like curry and chicken karage . Great service, a nice place for lunch downtown.

I have been here many times because I absolutely love the curry dishes here, the don is also amazing!! The servers are really nice and helpful. You got a table quickly and foods are served within 15 mins after you ordered. Don't forget to put the pepper/chili powder to enhance the flavours of the dishes. Really recommend!!!
