If you’re seeking a satisfying all-you-can-eat Japanese BBQ experience, Gyu Kyou delivers great value with its $29.99 Friday lunch special. Starters: The house salad, kimchi, and pickled cucumbers were fresh and well-prepared, with the miso soup being a standout—rich and flavourful. The crispy gyoza was another highlight, boasting excellent texture and seasoning. BBQ Selections: The short ribs and brisket were the stars of the show, both tender and flavourful. The miso pork belly was a delightful surprise, while the thinner pork belly offered quick cooking and a nice contrast. The thick-cut pork belly took longer to cook but was satisfying for those who enjoy a meatier bite. The kalbi, however, was underwhelming and can be skipped next time. Additional Items: The king oyster mushrooms were decent but not particularly memorable, and the chicken cartilage was quite bland—probably a one-time experiment. Desserts: The coffee pudding was strong and not overly sweet, a perfect choice for coffee lovers. The sesame and vanilla ice cream on a cone was creamy and well-balanced, rounding out the meal nicely. Drinks: Cold drinks are an extra $3 (not included in the AYCE price) but come with free refills, which is a nice touch for those who like to sip throughout the meal. Ambience & Practicalities: Located in a plaza with free parking, Gyu Kyou is spacious and comfortable. It’s best to book ahead for groups of six or more to secure a table. Final Thoughts: For $29.99, Gyu Kyou offers great value with its variety of high-quality BBQ options. While there are a few misses, the overall experience—paired with attentive service, free parking, and a relaxed atmosphere—makes it a solid choice for a casual Japanese BBQ outing.

This place is a gem! I think the price is worth the quality food they serve as well as the service. My family and I would always go here if we’re craving Japanese BBQ or if we’re just in the area. I’ve tried several all you can eat Japanese barbecue and this is the place that I just keep coming back to. The beef tataki, torched salmon, dark angel roll, prime kalbi, short rib, marinated steak, not sure I can think of any place that does it well like Gyu Kyou. Just recommend arriving early if you have plans after as there may be some wait times. Also just be aware of two hour sitting limit and make note of when you sit down or show proof of text message of roughly when they ask you to come in to be seated, if you were in line, as their system may tell their servers you were seated early and may let you know that your two hours limit may be up. Overall, love this place.

This barbecue restaurant truly stands out, from the drinks and dishes to the desserts. Each guest gets their own tongs to pick and grill whatever they like, along with two dipping sauces and a seasoning option—super convenient! The two-hour dining time is just right. Our child loved a particular type of meat but couldn’t remember its name. The staff went out of their way to patiently review our order and figure out what it was. Their professionalism and attentiveness, especially toward children, really touched us. The desserts were fantastic, especially the sesame ice cream. It had a light sesame aroma and wasn’t overly sweet—just perfect. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be the herbal tea, which tasted a bit watered down. But with so many other drink options available, this wasn’t a big deal. We’ll definitely be back!

Was really fun and delicious. Flames never got higher than the rim, the food service was quick, and the food itself was great. Could cook it to whatever consistency you wanted. Definitely worth your money if you go in hungry

This is one of my favorite all-you-can-eat Japanese BBQ restaurants. So glad they are in Mississauga. We go regularly. The meat quality is good. Dessert is good. Strongly recommended.

We dined in for our first time for lunch. Our server was very helpful with the menu. There was lots of options. They always checked on our table to clear and see if we needed anything. We had the beef, chicken, shrimp, rice, noodles, vegetables, salad and ice cream for desert. Everything was very good. We will definitely go back and try some sushi next time.

Great food and amazing customer service. Grilling station is relatively small and we have a time limit 2 hrs ( if I remember correctly) It is a tight window to cook and eat in 2 hrs specially when you have a lots of people. ( it is all you can eat) We only had 3 people and we were able to eat plenty. Food was amazing. I love it. Their service is really fast too. Price is really reasonable considering it is all you can eat Will definitely visit again!

It was such a great experience for me to dine-in there. The food was spectacular. I love the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Service was super fast. The variety of the menu are so many options to choose for. Overall is the best all you can eat bbq plus sushi in Canada I have ever tried so far. Mostly recommend to people who love all you can eat.
