This is the best Dosa I have had in Canada that took me back to India. This restaurant has won Michelin Star Award in 2024. So thats a huge deal!! Plus the prices are about the same as any other Indian restaurant when you compare the prices of GL with any other Micheline star restaurant. We had online reserved our table and when we showed up, we had to wait for abt 5-6mins while they got our table ready and someone helped us get seated. Our server came right away, he was very polite and went through the food choices we were making for the spice levels etc. Food quality was excellent. We had ordered a total of 6 dosas, menduvada and mini idly platter. Overall a 10/10 experience. I can only request but please try to ignore the negative lesser rated reviews. Try it for yourself. I was also skeptical when I saw 4.3 but the experience changed my mind. Definitely recommending to all!

Great exclusive like ambience. The food was tasting great. Service was fast and pretty neat. Yadhu and Khushbu were great hosts. Lots of parking available too. Only issue might be the gent washroom arrangement although the washroom is neat and clean. The door opens to bump into anyone waiting to use the washroom. Overall a great experience

*reserve the spot before you go*. The place gets pretty crowded on weekends or evening. We ordered the plain Rava dosa, Rava onion dosa and idly sambar. The idly was really good and the sambar was amazing. The plain Rava dosa was really crispy and yummy . Loved every bite. Must try rava kesari. It was so delicious. Vada was really nice too. We ordered the filter coffee with the food but we got it at the end so we had to ask for a take out but it was fine because the restaurant was really busy. Service was nice and friendly. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

Today me and my friend went for an impromptu dine-in at Guru Lakshmi. We had rasam vada, idly sambhar( asked them to make it super spicy but regretted it later),aloo masala dosa and Madras filter coffee( must try). Food was very delicious. Specially their idly soft and grainy just the way I like it and their vada was so crispy and yummy. We ended our supper with a hot filter coffee. Will highly recommend this place. Reservation for seats were easy as well, because I used their website and got immediate booking message on both my email id and number. We went on Tuesday night. Overall amazing experience.

The hype is real and this place is amazing! The food is authentic South Indian and packed with flavor—The staff is super friendly, and the ambiance is so cozy and welcoming. Service is super fast. If you’re craving real South Indian food, this is the spot to be! Always remember this place is packed on weekend and reservation is absolutely necessary.

Truly the best South Indian restaurant in the GTA. You can try anything and everything here and not be disappointed ever. I hope they sustain the quality and pricing over the next decade as well. I just hope we had another similar brand to Oakville and Burlington, but even though this place is an hour away I don't mind travelling to this location at least once a month. I've tried this a few times but posting pictures for what we had this weekend. Paneer masala dosa, coriander masala dosa, Dahi vada (sweet) - which is my favourite by far, podi masala Uthhapam (which takes half an hour but totally worth it), idli vada combo. The Rava Kesari was really delicious too. The filter coffee was piping hot and customised to our liking. Kudos to the staff and management for running this place so well. I wish we had more such Indian restaurants that were run so smoothly and efficiently as this one.

Hands down one of the best South Indian Vegetarian restaurants in the entire freaking 🇨🇦 🍁 CANADA. I have tried so many Indian dishes placed in CANADA, especially in Ontario, but this is the place that took the cake. A must visit, they won't disappoint you but try to have a reservation because sometimes, no let of the times, it takes hours to get seated if you dont have a reservation. The prices are also very reasonable and I like it the most.

First time visiting after reading the amazing reviews. Definitely lived up to the hype. Service is extremely fast. We had a reservation for 8 and were seated immediately. Restaurant is extremely busy so I would recommend booking in advance. I believe you only have the table for a certain amount of time but it is totally understandable as they have very fast service. Food is super fresh and tastes great! Must Try: Appetizer: Idly Main: Mysore Bhaji Dosa
