Great Fountain Fast Food

I haven't been to this food court in ages, but decided to give Great Fountain a try since I keep seeing them on ig. I got the baked spaghetti with meat sauce, which is my go-to dish at any HK cafe/HK food place. I was surprised by how brown the sauce was, when usually I'm more accustomed to a redder, more tomato-y sauce. The flavour was very distinctively "Chinese" and savoury, as opposed to HK, which is a tad sweeter. It wasn't bad at all, but not what I was expecting/craving. The iced lemon tea was good and sweet, just how I like it, but they put in lemon chunks rather than lemon slices, which meant I was sometimes drinking pieces of lemon peel. However, for the price, you can't beat this value ($12.90 for the entire combo). The spaghetti even covered 2.5 meals for me; it was so worth it. Not sure if I will try again but definitely come here if you need a filling, inexpensive meal.

Anna and her family at Great Fountain are the cutest. Found their IG and have been following for awhile and finally did a road trip from Roncesvalles to see what the hype was about. No regrets! T39: Garlic fried chicken and rice was fire! My husband got the Dan Dan Noodle soup which was great too! The iced milk tea was so good that after the first sip, I was already sad I was going to be done drinking it soon. Lemon tea was not too shabby either! Great Fountain gave us a fun little adventure on the weekend. Thanks Anna, this banana will be back!

Almost nothing hits as right as this absolutely delicious & comforting food, at a super affordable price. Perfect pit stop off the 401 as well! Grab the T39 with an order of the Singapore style turnip cakes and you’ll be dreaming of it all until your next visit. Places like this won’t last forever, we have to enjoy them and support them while we can!

DELICIOUS!! Great tasting Chinese food at a great price. Hidden gem located in a food court, great service with many dishes to choose from including breakfast! Came early Sunday for a big order without ordering ahead, no problem at all, they took my order and didn't take long for the food to be ready. A MUST TRY!!!!

I seen this place on YouTube and IG often, so decided to see what's the hype about. I ordered the garlic chicken fried rice that includes the hot fire soup and cold iced lemon drink. The soup has good ingredients, kind of wish the soup is pipping hot but it was lukewarm, hopefully, next time I visit, the soup is hotter. I need a bigger sample size to conclude. The garlic chicken was in good size, 2 big pieces, prefer a little bit more garlic flavour but the meat is juicy and tender. I do wish the chicken to be crispier, but I do appreciate the fast service. Prefer fried rice to be hotter but lukewarm, anyhow, I will give this a benefit of the doubt. The menu is substantial so need to read everything to order. It's interesting that the sign said garlic chicken is $9.75 + tax but when I ordered it's $14 CDN including tax, so I don't know if there is a discrency of the prices or just a different item vs from the sign. The iced lemon tea was tasty, great lemon flavour, chunks of lemon was a nice touch. No extra charge for cold beverage and included in the combo was a nice touch. I will come again just hoping the price and the quality is hotter in temperature. Next time, I want to try the crispy pepper salt pork chop + squid fried rice combo, it looks good on the picture on the storefront.

The food looked awesome on Instagram so we came down and it was awesome. It's located in a food court but there's a Great Fountain sign at the entrance of the mall so you know you have the right place. We went during lunch and although it was busy, their speedy service meant it was a short wait. If it's your first time there, you'll need time to look at the massive menu. There was plenty of parking as most people are there for take out. Likewise there are plenty of seats in the food court area and the wall has plugs for people who bring laptops to work while they eat. I brought my 8 year old and she enjoyed it as well. We would definitely return again.

5/5. Cash is preferred payment as debit charges you extra 10 cents and credit an extra 3%. Huge menu so I recommend checking out their Instagram page - they talk about their bestsellers there. Food is delicious, served quickly and inexpensive. Soup and drink often comes on the side for many dishes. A local Scarborough favourite that’s been around for many years. Will be back!

They have the best iced milk tea! I enjoyed their vermicelli rice noodle soup with beef brisket, egg, picked vegetables and tomato. The iced lemon tea was great. This combo was a great price! I will order this combo again in the future.
