Goobok 수제만두 (Handmade dumpling house)

Edit* i might have jumped the gun there and made assumptions about the service. The food is great. I remember seeing this place somewhere maybe on instagram? Needed to try it out. Especially the steams buns. I ordered a donut twist and two steamed pork buns. The steamed pork buns were fabulous. Im guessing they are made to order because it took a while. The bun itself was soft and pillowy and the filling had great flavour. I would go back for the steamed buns. I would also probably buy them frozen and steam them myself at home if they have that option. The twist was good. I ordered the sugar one.

1.5 hrs of drive was definitely worth it! I tried their shrimp & Kimchi dumplings and they both were so good 👍 Bought some frozen donuts too because they didn’t have any fresh ones left and I can’t wait to try them at home!

Located in the 3rd floor food count in World Shops on Yonge, is this little dumpling shop. We were on our way home and decided to grab something to go (we were about ~25 min drive from home) Service was friendly and not a large menu, but who cares as long as they get the dumplings right. Food was made to order so expect a ~10 min wait. We got the steamed pork dumplings which I thought were really good even ~30 min later. We also got 2 red bean and 2 pork buns -- which I though were average. Maybe if we had them there when they were fresh, it might be really good, but after ~30 min, they were just average. The donut twists were quite good. We got a cream cheese, red bean, and sugar. It was still pretty soft and a bit chewy. I liked it.

It's just a place I stop by when I'm in the building. Sugar 🪢 twist bread is fresh made all the time but mandoos are good too. I was able to order half beef and half shrimp 🦐 clean and juicy taste!

Love the freshmade twisted donuts!! THEY ARE SO GOOD! My favorite is the cream cheese flavor and the sugar coated flavor. I also come here often for lunch, love their pork bun $10 for 4! Great value and super yum - lots of filling 😋

Just amazing kwabaeggi! Super fresh and so soft! Loved that they concentrate on only a few flavours! Don’t have to do so many flavours if they can do a few brilliantly! The texture of the dough is so nice amd bready, but still so light to bite into! Quick and efficient service and totally want to try the remaining flavours I didn’t get and gonna have to try those dumplings they offer too! They’re on the top most floor of the mall and located in the food court! In case you want it and are in a rush. Great job overall! If you’re planning on having a cheat day (and I’m talking about food here) then head on over to Goobok. Their carby deliciousness does not disappoint. They’re buns are twice as big as expected - again referring to the FOOD ;) So filling. I got 10 (they come in orders of 5) and I wanted to try a few different flavours. I got vegetarian and kimchi- the kimchi had a nice spice factor. They provided a bright, yellow crunchy pickled radish which was a nice addition. I ALSO got a green tea twisty donut that was sooooo gooood. Service was lovely. Only waited 5 min. They were slightly busy on a Wednesday at 1pm. Will come back for the dumplings SOOOOOON. Oh and you can order from Fantuan Delivery if you don’t wanna come to Shops On Yonge.

Best dumplings in the city!! I’ve been to Goobok couple times and absolutely enjoyed my meals! I love how they handmade these dumplings and cook them fresh!! My favourites are steamed and panfried dumplings as well as corn noodle soup. Definitely the best in town!
