Food was definitely good. I would recommend their noodles over fried rice and chicken. Their hakka noodle was extremely flavourful and a very large potion. I also ordered a sweet and sour chicken with fried rice the special, but alot of it wasn't even coated. The rice was good but I have had better.

My go to place for delicious Hakka and Caribbean style crispy chicken! Believe me the skin is so crispy and got the right flavor, one of the best fried chicken ever. A restaurant is clean and very spacious plus the price is amazingly reasonable. Love this place and will recommend for everyone.

You get more for what you pay! The quality is good but the quantity is the highlight—the portions are very generous for the price! My partner and I couldn’t finish it despite us being really hungry. We waited about 10 minutes. Total was $35. We got the Chili Chicken with Hakka noodles combo, alongside the Sweet & Sour Chicken with fried rice combo. The chili chicken was ok, and the hakka noodles were good. The sweet and sour chicken was good too, and the fried rice was fresh. The combo came with vegetable rolls, which was okay. When they served the boxes, it was super hot, so everything was fresh! Although the flavours weren’t really special, the price & quantity was. I’d come back to try their other highlighted items.

Delightful experience! The food was incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous enough to satisfy two people! Also, the restaurant itself was impeccably clean, creating a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying our meal. I highly recommend Golden Star to anyone craving Hakka food in a welcoming environment!

I ordered on Uber eats. Portions are big and food was tasty. I ordered the dishes with “medium” spice and it was a good amount of spiciness. The Szechuan noodles were not very good but the chilli chicken and general Tao chicken were both were very good. Fried rice was a bit too greasy. Overall good place for Hakka and we will order from here again in future.

The restaurant is still under construction but is very much operable. The food is very tasty and was cooked fresh to order. The wait time for your food is not too bad. Delivery, pick up, and sit in are all available. I don’t see garbage bins available though. Maybe that’ll all come about after construction. But this is a highly recommended restaurant.

New Management and they're very nice. Hakka joint close to home, we order here at least once a week and they don't disappoint. Spacious with lots of seating. Staff is awesome and you know it's a great place when they know you by your first name. Wide selection for their lunch menu, and pricing is just right. Food is great and pretty good portions; chilli chicken is a favourite. Try the crispy beef, you won't regret it. Don't take it home, it's meant to be eaten on site. We have yet to try other dishes, a definite place to check out.
