The real standout was the outstanding personalized service. Ambience was typical of a small family run business- nothing fancy. Food was good but (unexpectedly) pricey; and so, I would rate it as relatively bad value for money place.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Gojima!!! The service was on point and the food was so fresh and tasty! We got a love boat and a Weston roll to share between 3 people and it was the perfect amount of food. The server was so kind and attentive. We also got to try a variety of small dishes on the house and everything was incredible. Will definitely return whenever we are in the area. Thank you Gojima!

Just found my new favorite sushi restaurant!!! Top notch service, great atmosphere, really delicious food (the Korean sashimi salad was absolutely awesome), and at an fantastic price. Plus 10% off if you pay in cash :) Can't wait to go back!

I came here for lunch yesterday (2024-10-28) for lunch. My wife usually is not into old school area, but she and I was starving, so we pick Gojima at the end of Toronto / Mississauga area. We ordered Katsu Don and the Salmon Bento box, their lunch combo. Miso soup is just right taste (other than normal salty soup) the miso is actually not salty and good. The Katsu Don I had taste great. My wife although suspects that the Pork cutlet was fried the 2 nd time, I have no problem because it gave me the crunchiness. The combo comes with a mash potato (nostalgic combination), salad, 2 spring rolls and 2 rolled-up rice. The Salmon bento was similar. My wife had teriyaki Salmon, spring roll, 4 pieces dynamite roll, 2 spring rolls, and Edamame as the side. My wife said the Salmon was not the most fresh but they do have the freshest salad I ever taste. I got to say the owner and his chef team put a lot of effort and make do with food to make ordinary taste greatest. This is a hard to find especially we need to support small business nowadays. The owner also gave use a side of hot noodles. My wife and I agreed: the hot noodles soup in shiyo tasted the best!

I was so refreshed after eating here. The staff are the original team from when they opened over 20years ago in this location in Etobicoke! I ordered the karaage, which was really well made and juicy. The Canadian roll, which comes with a special garlic-heavy soya mixture that was refreshing - the waiter even came by to explain the best way to eat the roll. I had another roll which I forget the name of, but it was deep fried well and not greasy at all. The side salad that had some chicken in it was a real surprise (it came as a complimentary item) and had an interesting kick to it. I hope to come again soon, and you should too!

Came here as the place I wanted to go to was fully booked for the night. Turned to be a pleasant experience. The sushi and sashimi were quite good. The portions are huge. I got the platter for 2 people and two rolls which were more than enough for 3 people. Service was good. The decor is a typical sushi restaurant with bar seating and tables for small groups. Not sure if I would return as this is a bit out of the way for me, but if I'm in area again, why not.
